Spad's Twisters — Restaurant in Chelsea

I stopped by for a quick bite of ice cream before the summer came to an end. I wasn’t expecting much from a soft-serve ice cream franchise but the staff — particularly Miles — changed my mind. I was just there standing in the rain, waiting to order my dole whip (flavour of the week was mango), when I was suddenly called up. The young lady working the front was very nice and sufficient, quickly getting my order before I stood off to the side. As I waited patiently for my dole whip, it was like a flash of light. I look in the back of the ice cream shop through the window- only to see a young man working so hard, fast and professionally. When he handed me my dole whip, I couldn’t help but to ask for his name (Miles). We chatted for a while and let me tell you this young man was spriteful! His joy was a radiant beam, I could tell he was proud to work at Spad’s Twisters. On top of the amazing staff, the dole whip was great too. This might sound fake, but I swear it’s true — there was a rainbow in the sky when I walked away. Can’t say Miles caused it, but I’m not ruling...

Was in there this evening (7-29-2020) around 7:30 pm. There's a sign asking people to socially distance, not to congregate in groups of more than a few people, get your stuff and go. Understandable however NO ONE after me followed suit. Not the store's issue, I get it. But, one of their employees had no mask while taking orders. Not to mention this employee was rude and seemed irritated that we were there ordering, as if we were bothering her. Huffing and puffing, slamming the window shut and pushing the receipt at me while shouting, "sign this." I'm sorry us customers bothered you at work and expected you to actually do your work. The portions are huge and the ice cream is good so there's something to be said for that. This place is not at all like how I remember from years ago and I won't...

Several teenage girls were working this evening and none of them were helpful. It was fine that several people behind us got their order before we did. However, they made an error on our order. I asked them to add the topping that was missing and they told me it would be in the middle of the ice cream, it was not. I went back up to ask them to add it, and they told me it would be at the very bottom of the cup underneath all the ice cream. Guess what, it was not.
