The Agaves Restaurant — Restaurant in Chelsea

I was looking forward to eating here Wednesday but unfortunately had one of the worst experiences. I called ahead of time to secure an outdoor table for 6 pm. I arrived at 5:51 and checked in with the waitresses. There were about 3 servers and only about 3 other parties seated. The waitress told us she would get the table ready. About 20 minutes go by and i'm still waiting to be seated. Another couple comes by and sits themselves outside. The waitress I spoke with comes out and ask if they are with us and they couple says no - she continues to then serve them, gets them drinks, bring them chips, etc. I thought she would then seat us, another 15 minutes go by and I go inside and she ask me "Do you want to be seated" I should have left at this point but I really wanted to try their food. She sits in the worst table outside - tables were higher than the chair, there was bird poop on the table, and she didn't wipe anything down. Then it takes another 20 minutes to get water and mind you she had continued to serve alcoholic beverages to the people who came after us while we waited for waters. It’s terrible. The food they sell here you can buy at another restaurant for a better price and quality. The tacos had no flavor. The torta is mostly bread with barley any meat and toppings. The worst part is that it took 20 minutes after we got our to go boxes to finally get the bill. For the lady to just walk away and make us wait another 15 minutes for her to take the bill back and finally let us leave. It’s absurdly ridiculous how long we spent waiting to leave. We visited because it was a block from our hotel. It was disappointing. I ordered a strawberry margaritas and had to change to passion fruit because they were out of strawberry. I ordered a burrito supreme with pork. The pork was good, the rest was average, and the tortilla was tough. My companion ordered Chile rellanos and only got a single chili on the plate after he was told they didn't have cheese rellanos that he ordered. He got beef instead.
