Sumatra Café — Restaurant in Cheltenham Township

This morning, as I was on my way to work, I had a little bit of time to grab a cup of coffee before catching my train. I came across this quaint cafe and decided to check it out. I am so glad that I did. Not only did I get a cup of coffee but I also got an egg & cheese sandwich on a croissant. My breakfast was absolutely amazing. The croissant was buttery and fresh. The sandwich literally melted in my mouth and the coffee was the finishing touch! I told the workers that this was the best breakfast sandwich that I ever had! I came to Sumatra while waiting for my car to be serviced at a nearby dealership. Little did I know I was stumbling across this gem of a coffee shop!

I had an Americano and a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. It was less than $10 (including the tip!), came out quickly, and was SO GOOD. The bread had a perfect crunch, the cheese was great, and the sausage wasn't frozen! The espresso flavor is good and smooth.

On top of that, it's a nice quiet place to come to get some work done or just enjoy a coffee while looking out the nice, big windows and watch cars go buy.

Super close to the Jenkintown SEPTA rail station as well, so this is a must stop on...

This place is definitely a hidden gem! First of all the service is amazing and the employees are always so happy and extremely welcoming. I go every so often when I don’t bring lunch to work and they always remember my face and are Great to chat with. Secondly the food is soooo yummy!!! Everything is very fresh and full of flavor. My go to is the chipotle chicken wrap!!! The sandwhiches come with a bag of potato chips and a pickle. Perfect pricing and wonderful environment.
