If I could rate in the negatives I absolutely would. Visited for the first and last time on Friday 11/4/22. It was a beautiful fall day so just "had" to head out to enjoy the evening. Smell. The door was open but the place smelled like a 'wet dog'...my friend said it as soon as we walked in. Decided to have a drink to game plan on next stop. Sat at the bar... bartender( female) did not acknowledge us even though she gave the 2 people sitting next to us their drinks. Mind you, the bar is very small so it's hard to believe that she didn't see us. About 5 minutes later a gentleman came in, waved to the Bartender and she went over to him to get his drink order. She served him, stopped and picked up empty bottles and took other drink orders before we flagged her down. She wasn't very pleasant when asked were there any happy hour specials...her response was "what time is it"?. She handed us a drink menu to which I quickly told her what I wanted ( b4 she walked away). Sat some more, she served other customers and after another 5 minutes or so I said excuse me, did you hear me when I gave up my drink order. She turned around and abruptly said... no, I didn't hear you and turned her back to us, yet again. At that time decided that my hard earned money wasn't going to be spent in this wet dog smelling, lack of even neutral service establishment.
I am sure some people like it and it may be their "Cheers" but KC gets a poor score from me for both lack of cleanliness and extremely poor customer service. I'm about to check their...
Read moreIf I could give Kings Corner 0 stars on here, I would. My friend and I entered the bar and ordered our drinks, fine. The bartender asked for our IDs and he accepted them, fine. Then, moments later the same bartender came up to us and denied giving us our drinks because our IDs looked “funky” to him. Mind you, we are both of age (22), and we have been going here since we were 21.
Margaret is the manager. And for whatever reason, she has grown this weird vendetta against my friends and I. One recent night, we were sitting in Kings Corner outdoor seating in their back, and we all had already ordered several rounds of drinks. My friend had a completely unopened four-pack of Human Robot beer, mind you, he even walked into the established with that. So if it was so much of a problem, then they should’ve kicked us out from the gecko. Then, an hour or two later, Margaret came out and said that we could no longer stay there because of his four-pack was sitting on the table. We were getting ready to leave anyways, fine.
A few days later, my friend and I came in to order some drinks, and the moment I lock eyes with Margaret, a minute or two later, that’s when the bartender denied us our drinks after we had ordered them and after he had accepted our completely valid IDs.
*Edit: If you are going to be a business that serves and sells alcohol, you need to have a verifier that correctly identifies real from fake IDs.
Margaret, you’re still a nuisance for consistently turning down our business when we have done absolutely nothing harmful...
Read moreWe had been going here quite regularly about a year ago. It's been a while since the last time, but we always liked this place. People were friendly, atmosphere was inviting, we loved it. Unfortunately our last visit was a complete contrast. We normally would sit at the bar and we typically would get awesome service. About 2 weeks ago, we visited and the bartenders were polite, but I wouldn't say the service was good. First thing was our drink order. I'm usually indecisive but my companion usually knows what he wants. Anyway, I ask for a sample, I get it but then she walks away. Didn't even ask my boyfriend what he wanted. Then we had to wait about 3-5 minutes before someone returned to actually get our drinks. Then came the food order. After deliberating for a couple minutes we were ready. As we quietly waited we watch the bartenders (there were two) go back and forth past us without even a glance. I think we sat there a good 10 minutes before we were even able to place our dinner order and that was only because a nice gentlemen came behind the bar and as he was doing something else he recognized that we might be ready to order. Don't get me wrong. I understand being busy. I've done just about every role there is in the front house of a restaurant. That's how I know when you are busy and when you are just not trying. I feel like the quality of service has declined since we first discovered this place. It use to be one of our favorites. Now we may be more...
