River's Edge — Restaurant in Cheraw

River’s Edge takes the humble burger and turns it into burger art. I’ve never seen such a precisely stacked creation come out of a kitchen—it looked like it had been engineered, not just cooked. The bun was perfectly domed, the lettuce laid flat without a single wilt, the tomato slice cut evenly, the pickle right in line, and the patty itself seared with a flawless crust. Everything was centered, layered, and balanced so well it felt like I was looking at a food magazine cover shot.

And still—the picture doesn’t do this burger justice. In person, it was even more impressive, almost too perfect to eat. But once I did, the flavor matched the looks: juicy beef with the right amount of char, crisp vegetables, and just the right touch of sauce.

Friends of mine had gone camping nearby River Edge suggested I try it. I went just this last Friday, October 2019 and have to say it was the best meal I have had and I’m serious when I say it in several years at a restaurant. I had the ribs they were absolutely perfect, perfect taste barbecue sauce was excellent the meat was tender as could be, along with a baked sweet potato which was cooked to perfection, and lima beans. Of course for dessert I had to get the Bavarian chocolate torte. I finished every bite of every morsel on my plate it was so good. Excellent dining experience for me and my two picky teenage eaters! I had the Sis, my daughter had the chicken fried chicken, and my son had the "Trent" burger. They both had French fries as sides and I had the salad bar which was delicious 😋. My son told the waitress that his burger was the best burger he'd ever ate and the rest of our food was wonderful.
