China Wok — Restaurant in Cherry Hill Township

Hunan Wok is next to the post office in the Woodcrest Shopping Center. Parking in the big parking lot seems abundant since there aren't very many stores in this shopping center, but then again I haven't been here in the daytime so your mileage may vary. The location is rather strategic since it is near an I-295 intersection.

Service was very good. The lady at the counter took and confirmed the offer courteously and brought us everything we needed. I thought the food was pretty good too but that depends on what you order. I liked the Hunan Pork Combo for having a nice sauce that wasn't too salty and a plethora of ingredients. The fried rice was pretty good too and not the dreaded yellow rice. The General Tso's chicken, on the other hand, was a bit too sweet.

Although there are a number of dining tables, I think this restaurant is better as a takeout joint. The most obvious deficiency is the lack of customer restrooms. I speculated that the restrooms might be behind the wooden barrier but we didn't feel like venturing into the kitchen...

Delivery was quick. However I had hair in my food and when I called to tell them, and to get another dish, they told me I would have to pick it up. I said I can't pick it up which is why I ordered delivery so I asked her what other solution can she offer. She said the delivery person can deliver it but she has no idea how long it will be. Could be 20 minutes 30 minutes or even longer. To make a long story short, she argued with me about the refund and said someone needs to come there to check the food to see whose hair it is. That is irrelevant, there were multiple pieces of hair!!! Don't go to this place they are rude and do not care about customer...

No stars if possible. In hunger I ordered a medium chicken lo mein and shrimp roll. There was no type of sauce in the dish, two strands of carrots and celery strips. While there was NO Shrimp in my shrimp roll, just unfresh cabbage and pepper, I managed to get one hardened piece of shrimp in my chicken lo mein. It tasted like an unfinished half-Chinese meal. One dish from this place is enough to judge the rest of the food: below average. Made without any care. You'd think they'd take some pride in bring in a shopping center but they deliver like a cornerstore...
