This filipino restaurant is absolutely horrible, no sense of customer service, clearly does not care for their incoming customers. Go support local restaurants that care and are decent to new customers - Reyta's Filipino Restaurant runs a bad business.
2 nights in a row, I called with the phone #s on their website at 7pm and NO ONE answers. No vm message. They're website is ridiculously outdated - they don't have closing time posted. The website lets you make a pickup order that appears legitimate BUT they don't take orders online. I can NOT be the 1st customer who had this problem. I drove to this location 30min away from me twice - I should have learned my lesson the 1st time - I got to their restaurant, 10min before they close and they inform me (without a care and rushing yo get out of their own establishment) that the restaurant is closed. I told them I put an order online for pickup 2 nights in a row, and I get a confirmation email notice from their restaurant that they received my order, and it will be ready in 30min. None of these transactions were ever received because they do not take orders online. What kind of sorry excuse is this? I directly asked why is there no one answering any of the phones numbers listed on their site - the excuse was that they were busy - i called numerous times - i called the text line, sent text messages - no answer. I asked why is your website taking orders for pickup - and their sorry excuse is that their website is really old. Don't be fooled by this restaurant go somewhere else so you don't have to...
Read moreI love Filipino food and was excited to try this new place. Very disappointing. First, the website recommends you order and pay online. So I did both. I live not far, so waited about ten minutes, and went to go pick up my food expecting to wait a bit. When I get there, they were about to call me to confirm my order, and also to tell me that two of the items I ordered were no longer available that evening. They had run out. One of the things I ordered was Pancit, which is likely one of their most popular dishes. How do you run out of that at 5PM on a Sunday? I asked if they could replace it with another noodle dish, and the only other thing they had was a shrimp gravy noodle dish. I then waited about 30 minutes for my order. The food was just okay. I ordered the pork spring rolls and they were rather bland. The chicken BBQ brochettes were okay, but the sauce was very sweet. The noodle dish was downright awful. Very bland, the gravy had a terrible after taste and there was supposed to be shrimp in there. There were 2 shrimp for a 32oz order. The best thing I ordered was the fried pork belly, which was quite good, a little too chewy for me, and the rice was also very good. Almost $50 for an order that I could barely eat. In this day and age, with so many restaurants out there trying to make it, this is just unacceptable. I wish them luck, but they need to step...
Read moreReyta's is located in the corner of a strip mall plaza. They have some outdoor seating, but it was raining when we visited so we sat inside. The waitress was really nice and service was good.
For food we ordered the kare kare, lechon kawali, and lumiang shanghai. I love any sort of egg roll, spring roll, etc. so I had to get the lumpiang shanghai. It was pretty good and it and I always love the spicy dipping sauce. The lechon kawali was great. It reminded me of the Chinese roast pork belly, but it also came with a side of lechon sauce and spicy vinegar. I prefer the lechon sauce over the vinegar but both were great to help cut the fatty pieces of pork. Definitely a must have if you go. The kare kare is a peanut-based stew with chunks of beef and oxtail. It also has some eggplant, green beans, and bok choy and bagaoong on the side (fermented shrimp paste). It had great flavor and the meat was super tender that just melted in your mouth. It comes with a huge side bowl of rice which was great for soaking up with the stew. Side note: the kare kare is made to order so we were informed it would take around 20 minutes, but it...
