I wanted to check out this place with my family, since the name seemed very enticing for our love for kebabs and Biryani. Quite frankly, these were the worse kebabs we’ve ever had in our life. These were definitely not cooked in a clay oven and the salt was so excessive that you could taste nothing but salt. It messed up our taste palettes so bad that nothing tasted good beyond this. It completely ruined our experience and had to wrap up rest of our food and take it home with hopes that it might taste better the next day. We did enjoy the Indo Chinese rice that we ordered, since rice was the only thing tasting good after that horrible experience with kebabs. Hoping that we get to enjoy the two other entrees that we took home with us. I bought this to the staffs attention right away after all of us took the first piece of kebab. The staff member stated that he was going to inform the chef and we never heard any response. Our server was tied up and approached us at the very end to gather our thoughts on our experience. I bought this to his attention about the saltine kebabs that we had received and his response was that we should have returned the dish if that was the case. We were four adults in our group and if we each picked up one piece out of the 6 total pieces of kebabs. It took us that first bite to express our concerns with each other and mind you that we did inform the staff right away. It seems that the other staff member completely ignored our concerns. The other staff members were very reluctant to even ask us for water initially. It was after tasting those fried salted kebabs that we had to request someone to give us some water. Service was unacceptable, especially when you have three servers and about 5 or 6 people cooking inside. We have never experienced this kind of service where we were not even asked for water or drinks. Just a piece of advise that please refrain from ordering kebab’s from this place and also kindly share your thoughts if you plan on giving it a try. My two boys did enjoy their butter chicken and naan and that’s the reason I’m...
Read moreThe food tasted pretty good, but was excessively greasy. Everything was greasy, from the appetizer, to the main dishes (lamb curry) to even the garlic naan. We were given a pitcher of water on the table that was warmer than room temperature. The staff seemed confused, and unsure of what they were doing. Our main courses came out in bowls, and when I asked about rice, I got a song & dance that since we ordered naan, rice isn't included. As the guy was trying to explain this to me, another server walked up behind him with our bowl of rice... that was included with the meal. Whatever. When we had finished eating, and were ready to pay the bill, the server came over and asked me if I'd leave a review on Google. I said "sure!" He stood there and looked at me for a minute, then said "Can you do it now?" Like, while he watches? That's kind of awkward. I said "Are you going to give me a discount for it?!" He smiled and mumbled something, so I dropped a quick review. I suspect this tactic is the reason for so many 5 star ratings on Google, because this place is NOT a 5 star establishment. Went to pay, and there was no discount. OK, buddy. Original review deleted, and this honest review takes its place.
Bottom line: the food is passable, but greasy and overpriced. Nothing special here. I will...
Read moreI happened to be in this restaurant during my recent trip to the USA in June 2024. Tried their Chettinad Bone-in chicken curry spicy, Chicken 555(less oil), Spicy Boneless Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Lollipops (spicy) and the Mutton Fry Biriyani Bone-in (spicy). I requested for extra Raitha and fried onions which was readily obliged. The atmosphere of the Restaurant is not very great. It's okish. But the quality, quantity and especially the taste of all the above dishes was amazing. The pieces in mutton fried biriyani were well cooked to tender retaining it's taste with the aroma of Indian masala coated nicely over all the pieces. The Basmati rice was cooked perfectly. I was truly carried away by the taste at USA. I am from Bengalore and the taste of boneless chicken biriyani brought the memories of the famous Meghna Biriyani. The taste here was almost near to the Meghna Biriyani . The Chettinad chicken gravy was perfect neither too thick nor thin gravy and was tasting perfectly with both the above biryanis and white rice. The starter chicken lolli pop was juicy and tender with the right amount of masala coating and with little oil. Will visit here again guys to try their Ulacacharu Biriyani, Boti Kebab and their week end Goat,Fish and Shrimp Thali. Keep the good work....
