It makes me sad to give CAVA a 1-star, their food is delicious. But I just had an absolutely horrible customer service experience. I placed an order for 2. I received a call shortly thereafter that the driver only grabbed half of the order and they would be sending out an associate with the other half of the order. Okay, simple mistake. It happens. They're quick to rectify it, no big deal. The first half of the order arrives and we wait. And we wait. Finally, I called the restaurant back. I spoke with the same gentleman, Dante or Devon or Devonte ...I asked for an ETA on the other half of our order. "Oh, it's still sitting here." What? "Yeah we called doordash and asked them to send someone else out and they haven't come out yet." (Of course not, the tip already probably went to driver number 1, AND originally he said an associate would bring my food...insinuating a CAVA store associate. ) So half of my order is here getting cold and half is there getting cold. "Yep" (the Yep is where I became irritated) So what are you going to do? "There's nothing to do, its DoorDashes fault not CAVA" (but I didnt order through Doordash, I ordered through CAVA, so this is a CAVA problem) So you arent going to do anything? "No." I drove to CAVA, my order wasnt even in the kitchen 'staying warm' it was on a shelf in the middle of the dining room. I walked over and just took the bag and walked out. No one batted an eye. So free food for anyone if orders are sitting on the shelf getting cold! Just awful. Hopefully Mezzah on Battlefield opens soon...otherwise, check out Mr....
Read moreHadn't been there before b/c I don't get down to the Greenbrier area often, but I needed to eat & I love Lebanese food. Multiple options to create pretty much whatever you want: I was really surprised @ the variety of options for each category of the order, including sauces/dips.
I built my own bowl, minimzing carbs (not permanently, just right now) & there were a lot of options. The protein options were also broader than I anticipated: they also allow two per bowl which is nice. Then on to toppings & sauces. Sauces were ranked in order of popularity, but I had a Tahini Caesar which is ranked near the bottom that I thought I was love--and did. Don't know why it isn't more popular! I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl w/my selected greens, hummus, proteins, salads (toppings) & sauces.
As I was leaving, the extremely helpful staff member who'd been the main one who waited on me stopped me & asked me how I had liked my supper, what I thought of the Tahini Caesar dip (told her I loved it--but apparently I'm really the only one) & she asked if I could write a review; unfortunately I didn't get her name--but everyone there was helpful & nice.
Only caveat: being unfamiliar w/how it works, I probably added too many things that were an upcharge so I had a bit of sticker-shock when I got my bowl. But the base price isn't bad & as I become more sophisticated as to my options, can probably...
Read moreI loved the food but the staff was very unfriendly. The premise is very similar to Subway, MOD pizza, or Chipotle in that you get a bowl and decide what goes in it. They have incredible options and I was even surprised to find that they had lamb--it was actual lamb and not mutton! (For those who don't know, lamb is sheep meat from an animal less than 1 year old and mutton is from older animals. The meat has a very different taste and texture and in America, there is no difference in the labeling when there should be). The bowl was quite large and I actually got two meals out of it (but mostly because I don't usually eat a full portion to begin with as I am a snacker) however it was $20! I know the price of food has gone up but if that's supposed to be for one meal for one person, that's outrageous. I expect those prices at sit down restaurants not at fast food places. Sure, you might ethically source everything and make sure it's organic, free range, fair trade, etc, but that's a little ridiculous, especially since I had to wait 20 minutes to even order and the staff was extremely rude. I will not be visiting again since I can make the same dish at home for $15 and stretch it to...
