Great Pizza Co. — Restaurant in Chesapeake

I got there 30 minutes before closing and the cook says , as i walk in.... " whatta want.... i can make you a pizza " i said i thought you were still open. He replied " limited stuff right now, i already turned the grill off. I wanted a philly sub....but settled for wings, 2 flavors, the bbq were AWESOME but the parmesan and garlic were refrigerator cold . Not sure if he got them or the sause out of the fridge.....but none the less they were COLD......and the bbq were hot enough to burn my mouth so i had something they actually made to compare it too. My point and biggest problem is, if you are "open" for another 30 minutes.....WHY is half the kitchen shut down......just turn the "Open " sign off and close early.......wish i wouldn't have settled for food that was not my first choice, and kept my $36 dollars......it's my fault.....i DEFINITELY won't stop in again during the last hour of closing. Apparently its more important that the cook gets to go home exactly when the store closes.....rather than feed hungry customers what's on the menu......... with THIS attitude, they wont make...

I've ordered delivery from here about 7 or so times now, each time the food is fantastic. Had the cheesesteak twice, individual pizza slices twice, and a meatball sub. Whole pizzas the rest of the time, every time it's really great pizza. I keep it simple with just cheese and pepperoni, the sauce is really good it's not too thick and has a great actual tomato taste. Each time it's been very consistent with is great, I know what I'm getting and it's going to be tasty.

It's really cool to see places doing by the slice again, it wasn't something offered a lot of times but has been making a come back. All the food is great it's never been a bad experience, the subs are probably about 12 inches maybe 14. Never lasted long enough for me to care to get a tape measure and the pricing for delivery is very reasonable.

Finally a good local pizza place. I have ordered delivery twice from great pizza co via grubhub. First order was- Philly cheese steak pizza - it was somewhat warm but the topping to cheese ratio was amazing. It had plenty of steak and all the other fixings. Also the 18 inch pizza is huge and can comfortable feed 3.

Jalapeno Popper - they are just good classically poppers but some where not fully battered buy still tasty.

Fries - these were soggy and might not be best for deliver. But they still tasted good just would not order again for take out.

Second order -

The works pizza - same as the philly their was a great amount of toppings. The sasuged tasted fresh and the pepperoni and veggies were good as well.

This is probably my new pizza joint an I hope they stay open for a long time as I am tired of...
