We had a WONDERFUL experience with Kitty Kingdom Cat Cafe. I will be referring any and all cat lovers, whether they just want to play with some cats or are looking to adopt, in their direction.

My husband and I had been wanting to add a member to our family for a couple of months now. I decided to surprise him with a trip to the cafe! I called ahead a couple of days in advance to inquire about the adoption process and if there was any paperwork that I would want to have handy in case we ended up finding a friend. We were told to have our other pet's vet records and proof from our apartment complex that we were allowed to have pets (we just went ahead and brought in our lease and a copy of the pet policy to be thorough). We opted for the hour long experience so that we could visit both cat rooms to make sure we were finding the right one.

Getting to the cafe felt magical! There are kitties in the window sleeping or saying hi. Staff was SO friendly and excited to hear that we were looking to adopt. We worked with different folks the day we came in and the day we picked up, but everyone was so nice and informed. They recommended a few different cats to our living situation, they let us know that some of the cats would need to go out in pairs so we wouldn't have been able to adopt them (as our lease states two pets and we already have a dog). Everything was explained in a way that made me feel confident that they are going above and beyond for these cats. We had a bit of a traumatic experience with the last cat we adopted (from a different place); glaringly obvious medical issues were not disclosed and after spending a lot of money at the vet and the specialist, we only got a few short months with her before we lost her to bladder cancer. We explained this to the staff and talked about how, for our own mental health, we really needed a healthy cat. They explained all of the medical care and testing that the cats get prior to being put up for adoption, and all known history is disclosed. There was more to that conversation but I don't want to give misinformation if I don't recall it perfectly, so if you have any questions about that, talk to the staff. They know what's up. We were confident that we were getting a healthy cat by the end of the conversation. :)

We ended up having a decision to make between two different cats, both of which seemed like a great fit to our home. Both cats were from the same rescue, so we filled out an application and went home, waiting to get approved by the rescue (Garfield's, in our case.) We got the call that we were approved, were told we could pick our little lady up the next day, and made our decision over the evening. We came in and picked her up, had a bit more paperwork to fill out, paid the adoption fee, and were given a folder with all of her medical and microchip information, as well as some tips to getting a new cat adjusted to a new home.

She was formerly Agnus, we have decided to call her HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 Wireless All-In-One Instant Ink Ready Printer (HP for short....yes the name is ridiculous, but it's the one she decided to respond to!) She is adjusting perfectly to her new home and we are so happy to have her. I want to take an opportunity to publicly thank these folks for what they are doing. Everyone we worked with seemed to love what they do and these cats are all in a great environment and seem well-adjusted, happy, and healthy. The cat lover in me sees the cat lover in all of you.

Oh, and the mimosa was good. I guess if I'm writing the review anyway, I can probably...

First, I am beyond grateful for this establishment, especially extending my gratitude to the co-owner who I had the pleasure of meeting today. I never expected to find anything like this in the United States. I am currently only here in Virginia for a short amount of time, and my cats are still residing in Japan. I miss them dearly and I really needed a cat fix. With that said, in Japan, I visited many amazing cat cafés. This is my first time at a cat café in the United States and Kitty Kingdom delivers.

3 spacious rooms; enough to grab a drink and one cat and one kitten room. They have plently of space to roam around, play, sleep etc. The cats are super happy and friendly. Some are more shy than others but to anyone who knows cats, we know that cats have very individualized personalities.

What really impressed me about this place is how clean everything is! This is not an easy task with a lot of cats around, but the staff does an incredible job to keep everything clean and in good shape. Absolutely no clutter around and very new furniture for the cats. Air is nice and cool despite the summer heat and humidity outside. It is overwhelmingly obvious that the staff care very much about their cats well-being.

The staff are absolutely wonderful people. I had some great conversations with them and they love their job. I would work here myself if I could fit it in my current schedule. I would even adopt a cat from here if I was permanently in Virginia. I with full trust wouldn't have a single issue adopting a cat from here. They are once again, very well taken care of!

There are rules to follow, but any mature person would know that these rules express safety for not only yourself but also for the cats.

I cannot say enough about this place. If you like cats, or even if you know someone who doesn't, there is no doubt that this place would change their minds. Looking forward to continually visiting here for the remainder of...

I did not have the experience I had hoped for here. I brought my kids in today to see the cats as they have been asking for one but haven’t yet had an opportunity to play with one yet. I also had my 11 month old with me in her stroller. As soon as we got into the kitty room, one of the kittens jumped on the 11 month old. This did not upset me as cats are curious animals and I had already been made aware beforehand that the cats really like strollers. I took her out of the stroller and held her so the cats could explore the stroller as they pleased. A worker came in and told me that the baby had to be in the stroller at all times for her safety and the cats safety. I explained that I was only holding her since the cat had frightened her when it jumped on her. I said I would hold her the entire time away from the cats but she would not allow that. I understand keeping the cats safe but I don’t understand why I could not keep my infant in my arms.I’m sure I’m not the only person who would feel this way. I do understand places have rules and this is theirs, I will just not be returning.

Also- more kid friendly drinks would be cool. Coffee and tea offered for kids is a joke. Might as well just say this place shouldn’t be offered to families with...
