Pekking Chinese Food on Cedar Rd just made me lose my mind. Not once, but TWICE—they completely messed up both of my orders. I’m not talking about a little missing soy sauce or forgetting a fork. I mean straight up wrong food, sloppy portions, cold and stale like it had been sitting for hours, and ZERO apology or accountability when I called back. I was polite the first time, gave them a chance. Second time? I was PISSED. And they had the nerve to act like it was my fault.

I swear to God, I’ve never written a review like this before, but I am genuinely livid. I spent my hard-earned money and waited patiently just to be served disrespect and garbage food. This ain’t even “bad takeout,” it’s straight up disrespect on a plate.

Absolutely unacceptable. I will never eat here again and I’ll make sure everyone I know hears about this joke of a restaurant. -EDIT

I want to sincerely apologize for my previous 1-star review. At the time, I was frustrated and let my emotions get the better of me, which led me to say things that were unfair to this business. The staff here have always been respectful and handled the situation professionally, even when I didn’t. I’ve eaten here before and had good experiences, but I let one mistake cloud my perspective. That wasn’t right, and I take full responsibility for how I reacted. I wanted to update my review to make that clear.

I spent over $60 on the meal that upset me. As a very picky eater, I was surprised and disappointed to find carrots added to all my meals when I specifically ordered chicken and broccoli and other items. I believe the dish should be labeled “chicken, broccoli, and carrots” rather than just “chicken and broccoli” to avoid confusion for others with similar preferences.

Thank you for your...

We dined in which we were told we wouldn't have a waiter but that was alright with us. Will say the odor of cleaning supplies heavily competed with the smell of the food. Might want to use hydrogen peroxide and vinegar for more natural backseater to the food instead of noxious, heavy chemicals. I asked a question of the teenage girl that was minding the cash register about if there was any imitation crab in the rangoons. I asked because some places don't put it and they just put in the cheese. When she said that they did, I decided not to order and she asked why. I told her that my teenager was allergic to imitation crab to which she actually scoffed and remarked, "But it's just flour." Actually, it isn't just flour, it's actually a mashing up of other fish and other ingredients. How interesting that I read on another recent review that they also had issues with (the same, I assume) rude teenage girl at the cash register. That was unnecessary to dismiss and scoff at my kid's allergies for not ordering the rangoons. The food we did order was actually very good, the egg drop soup, the sweet and sour chicken and the chicken skewers were actually pretty tasty. Having grown up with parents who ran their own restaurant, my advice: Don't let good food be marred by poor...

So I had ordered their chicken chow mein lunch special to go, that was supposed to come with a side of pork fried rice and either egg roll, soup or a canned soda for $6.75. I’m not a fan of pork so I requested to substitute it for chicken fried rice which was a $1.50 up charge. A little off putting but I went with it. When I got back to work I opened up my lunch and noticed that there were absolutely no noodles (the chow mein part I was expecting) instead I got a slop of chicken, vegetables and cream poured over what looked to be microwaveable rice (not the $1.50 chicken fried rice that I paid for). And just the picture alone of the egg drop soup shows how nasty it actually is, with zero flavor I may add. The only reason I ate as much as I did is because I’m six months pregnant and starving, otherwise I would have starved. I’m super disappointed because I’ve heard great things about this restaurant and it’s super close to my work, however I will not be returning. Definitely not worth the $10.00 I...

My Dad and I went here for lunch after he’d heard from friends that the food was good. I already knew from reading other reviews that they don’t have wait staff, and all food was packaged to go. However, they do have a lot of seating and you’re encouraged to dine in if that’s your preference. The cashier was very friendly and our food was delivered to our table in a timely manner. It was all hot and very tasty, and of course with any other Chinese food restaurant, they give you enough to share, and still have some leftover. I had the General Tao’s chicken and dad had the Orange chicken, both on the lunch menu, and it came with pork friend rice, and we opted for the egg roll that was included (or you could choose soup or a canned soda). Everything was delicious and he was very happy that we now have a new place to visit on our weekly lunch dates.

Love their food hands down the best Chinese in the 757. I've been all over looking for Chinese food that was good like how it used to taste. This place isnon point great service order is always right. I prefer their take over dinning in. They make their own duck sauce they give when you dine in have to request it for take out. The online ordering process is flawless. I gladly pass all the other Chinese places that are on the way to this location it's a 20 minute drive from my house so there's a lot. Only place my kids want Chinese from and I can't blame them. I forgo getting Chinese if it's not from them.
