This is a city park open to the public from sunrise to sunset. The whole family can enjoy a romp around the fields here, including pets. It's a very simple park and a great way to connect to nature. There were plenty of birds and squirrels, and i saw a baby rabbit. I unexpectedly stopped here to check it out on a heavy overcast day with a little drizzle. There's little to no canopy or shade here, so bring sun protection. Currently, there are mowed down grass trails thru heavily grassy open fields with wild flowers. Bring the bug repellent. It's adjacent to marsh land. Tho I only had one pesky horse fly, no mosquitoes. There's a medium-sized parking lot with a port a potty and fitness workout area. There's picnic tables with at least one with a canopy. It will be a challenge to take a wheelchair or stroller thru the uneven fields. Read moreA Great Place for Dogs and Kites, but Not for Fishing or Kayaking Bells Mills Park is a pleasant park with a lot to offer visitors and their furry companions. The wide-open spaces are perfect for dog walks, and the picnic tables make it a great spot for a relaxed lunch or snack. On my last visit, I saw children having fun flying kites, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
However, it's important to note that two popular activities are not allowed at Bells Mills Park: fishing and kayaking. Overall, Bells Mills Park is a great option for leisurely walks, picnics, and kite flying. Just keep in mind the restrictions on fishing and kayaking before...

The trail winds in an open space that includes moderate elevation with smooth trails that is accessible by foot and bike. This may not be suited for someone in a wheelchair unless with high terrain wheels.
There is not a lot to look at except the wooded areas and a small marsh area nearby. The only other setback is that route walking behind a city jail and if you don't mind inmates yelling and hollering then you'll be fine. Otherwise, a nice simple trail best suited on a cool...
