I do not recommend going to this place during all you can eat lunch rush. I know that with places like these they get busy and you may have to wait, but our experience there this past weekend was awful. Not only were we sat in the corner and forgotten about, but we were next to the security alarm that chimed “right front door” every. time. the. door. opened. Our server came to the table twice and was not present when she was standing there. She didn’t know the answers to our questions (what’s the price of the lunch special) and was just expecting us to order fast so she could move on. We ordered fast and then waited awhile, which was fine until we saw 18 trays waiting to be handed out and 3 servers walked up, looked at them, and walked away because they weren’t their tables. Now I’ve worked in the service industry - help your people out and don’t let the food die. So by time we got our sushi rolls were falling apart and we realized we needed to order again otherwise we would be waiting even longer. We tried to get our waitress and she ignored us, so we asked another to help and they said no they couldn’t and walked away. She finally came up and we ordered what we thought were sashimi pieces, again rushed ordering, not reading the menu, and she was off. This tray came back fast, but as sushi 🍣 like the emoji so we ate the fish because we didn’t want the rice. Then the server came up to us, picked up the plate to take it, pointed at it and yelled “you have to eat the rice.” At that point I had hit my limit, I was really trying to give her and the staff the benefit of the doubt because it was busy, but taking the tray, assuming we were done (we were still eating other pieces), and telling me I had to do something crossed the line. It would’ve also been different if she was a present server and had communicated with us because my husband said sashimi while pointing to sushi. Again our fault for not knowing that aspect of the menu, but overall their behavior was absurd and shocking. I couldn’t believe she had the audacity to point at food and tell me what to do. Another server came over and apologized for our server and offered us a gift card but it was such a bad experience we will not be back. It is also not another server’s job to be apologetic for something that wasn’t her fault. Appreciated but it should’ve been our server doing that. I am not one to write bad reviews on a place unless it was a truly terrible experience. I’ve been in the serving pits and know it can get ugly, but this was pure disorganization and lack of good...
Read moreWhere to begin this down hill ride in the snow on a bobsled with no breaks?? Will start by letting everyone know that I could not leave less than a 1 star rating. We were able to walk right in and sit down which was nice (though this turned out to be the high light of our dinner). There was only 2 additional empty tables which seemed promising. The server quickly showed up to take our drink orders (2 adults and 2 kids ). Then we placed our order for 3 rolls, 4 pieces of sushi, 3 soups and a salad. Soups and saldad arrived promt. Then the waiting game started and 25 mins passed with no sushi. Seeing it was taking so long we order Steak and Scallop hibachi and 2 additional rolls. 35 mins in to being there our first order showed up. From the start the sushi was not appealing and looked very plain. As expected once we started to eat the sushi we quickly realized it was made from low quality small slivers of fish. Being the rolls were made from small pieces of fish that is probably why they were edible. We ate most of the first order but were quickly turned off. Though we were already committed to being here to eat we placed one more order for 4 pieces of sushi and 2 additional deep fried rolls. Our second order showed up still poor quality fish but a little better taste though they were again very small rolls. An hr into the meal our last two rolls showed and quickly realized a repeat of the 5 rolls that came before them. 1hr5mins later the hibachi showed up consisting of 2 under cooked scallops, 8 small nickel size chewy pieces of steak, steamed Rice that was not fired or "sticky", and steamed vegetables all of which had no flavor making it very bland. I could pick so many things apart from the dry ginger with the sushi to the watered down soy sauce. I will have to admit being we had been there for 1hr 15mins at this point we ventured to order desert and that was actually very good. The tempura Ice Cream and fried bananas were very good and make me think they might of got that from next door because there is no way they produced that in this resturant. We paid our check of 89.00, left, vowed to never return and will only stay loyal...
Read moreHave been coming here for the past 3 years and the sushi is amazing, especially for the price. They are a small business so Im not quite sure what people are expecting when it comes to coming to any restaurant at a small business on a Sunday mid day and expecting it not to be busy (rolls eyes). I have frequented this place many different times for both dinner and lunch and of course sometimes there is a wait as sushi is made fresh. The trick is to order 2 or 3 rolls and by mid way done order another roll so it will be there by the time you're done eating the other rolls lol. Also, I don't think the servers are rude I think that they are timid and just do their job. Anyway if you want extremely high quality sushi then I don't think the best idea is to go an inexpensive all you can eat buffet, but that's just me. Anyway, go and enjoy the food, its great and come with an empty stomach. Hope...
