This location is in cheseapeake, VA .Debaun loop. How this location stays in buisness is unbelievable. Worst experience i have had at any popeyes. This location has no customer service,no mgt skills,no idea how to run a building. It looks like this building is a free for all. The staff just punches in and does what they want and gets paid for it, while they aggrivate the customers by providing no customer service and have no food...really no food + no customer service = poorly run establishment and an owner that can care less obviously if all they get is 1 star reviews. Now this is the latest experience at this location: I was at this location around 9:30, 9:31 p.m. on July 1st I only paid attention to the time because I wanted to make sure they were still open which they were until 10 p.m. as we were in line I believe the shift manager (female with a green shirt) walked the entire drive-thru line while on the phone. There were at least 10 cars or more ahead of me and at least two or three cars behind me. As we got closer to the menu to order we heard the customers in the cars ahead of us say that they are closed and will not serve us. I find that Beyond unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. This manager Walked the Line to See how many customers were in line. She could have told us that they will be closing and there would be a cut off in the line but she never did. Instead what she did was wait until 10:07 to tell the One customer three cars ahead of me that they are closed I only found out after waiting a half-hour in line from two other customers that they are closed. You can clearly see through the window into the building that the associates were laughing at the situation and didnt care care that they had at least 10 customers wait over a half hour with no care or concern of their actions. I have never seen a business run so poorly with no management skills, no professionalism, no care for the paying customers keeping the business going. I will be verbally calling the corporate office and emailing the corporate office until I see the situation has been addressed properly. If you hire Associates that cannot run a building and have no customer service skills then this job is not for them. Like I said before this entire situation could have been avoided if she the manager took control of the situation and told the customers there was a cut off in the line but she chose not to now you have many upset customers writing complaints and calling the corporate office. just run video back and you will see how long the line was and you will see the shift manager walking the line while talking on the phone and lastly you will see all the angry customers driving away without an order I can tell you you will see at least 10 cars pulling off. Like I said if this is the way you teach your Associates and management to run a building I will not come back to eat at this location and now I'm questioning other locations.. and shame on the franchise manager running this location I hope you run no other locations like you do this one. Maybe you as the franchise owner should be in the location to see how poorly and run down this...
Read moreWent this past Sunday morning with a friend and we had some high expectations since it's a new location. They were supposed to open at 10:30, but they opened late because they didn't have the registers ready to go. My friend actually called while we were standing at the door to tell them we were outside.
When I put in my order for the 2 piece meal, the cashier didn't even ask me what kind of chicken I wanted. She was already wanting my money when I asked what kind of chicken came with the meal. If I hadn't said that I wanted 2 legs, who knows what I would have gotten.
My chicken legs were extremely small. Like, the size of some hot wings. It was ridiculous. I've never seen chicken legs that small before. They definitely didn't fill me up that's for sure and they were definitely not worth 8 bucks. At least they were hot.
The mashed potatoes, however, were barely luke warm and considering that they just opened for the day, I expected all my food to be hot.
When I went back to the counter to ask for some butter, no one even acknowledged me. And the cashier was actually with someone, so I get that, but one of the workers actually walked by 3 times before I finally said something. When I asked her for the butter, she just walked off. She was gone for about 5 minutes and I wasn't actually sure she was getting my butter, but she did finally bring me 2. She still didn't say anything me, just left the butter and walked off.
The staff seemed kinda all over the place back there. Not really professional. Seemed to be playing around too much. Apparently, I'm not the only one with those opinions either. I've seen quite a few other reviewers that said the same thing. I'm going to give them another chance though. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day, but I...
Read moreThis place is a dumpster fire. We pulled up to the speaker... nothing. For literally 3 minutes. It was raining into my car. "Hello?" Nothing.... "HELLOOO?" Someone was there, just not paying attention. There was a line behind us now. We made our order: An 8-piece which comes with a side and 4 biscuits, and we ordered an extra side... "we're out of mild chicken, it's a 15 minute wait" "Ok, we'll take spicy" ......silence. "Hello?" Still raining into my window. "Sarry, go hed wicha order." -_- Order again, "spicy or mild?" ...kill me. pull up to window. There are 6 employees visible, and none of them are working. They look like they are just talking to each other. Eventually they open the window and ask: "What was your order?" fighting the urge to drive away with 'I came this far'-ness, I ordered a 3rd time. A few minutes later we get our food and drive away without checking. My mistake. One side was wrong, the other was missing, no forks, no napkins, no biscuits, and the drumsticks were barely bigger than my thumb. What a shame. Popeyes chicken is so good, but it's not worth that. Corporate Popeyes should close this s*hole and apologize to Chesapeake. Won't return.
EDIT: this place hasn't changed. We came back to see, and after a 15 minute drive through line that was 3 cars long, another wait after "hold on", and 5 more minutes after the second "hold on" when we asked for chicken, they apparently didn't have any chicken made and it would take 20 more minutes. The inside was basically empty the whole time, so not having chicken ready was a choice. We just drove away hungry and got...
