I think this place is out of their depth. Looks like most of their good reviews are from them being a food truck solely but having a restaurant is another thing altogether. We went when they first opened, the food was taking too long. 45 min for appetizers and another 45 min for mains. Both were served just warm and our mains weren't even made correctly. They didn't have an ABC license yet, and if that was the case a decision should have been made to wait to open. The prices, are ridiculous especially once you get the cuts of meat and see the appetizers. I could have eaten at the butchers son for almost the same amount. This place is not in the same league as that place and to expect to retrieve those prices is a joke. I was offered to have my meal comped, but i paid for our appetizers so I could at least tip the waitress since none of this was her fault. I did so and was offered a gift certificate for later once they came in. I followed back up about it a few times but it kept getting delayed and at this point I think its just a wash. Now to see they are riding the coat tails of the bell is upsetting. I think they are trying to ride off the back of another business that was quite successful for 43 years until COVID ended it like many businesses. The staff and customers were like no other and very loyal, to try to drudge up business off of them and bring in customers because you put the sign above the bathroom as some tribute to the bell is not what you think it is. That kitchen when we ate their was packed, numerous people cooking, but yet none of the food came out on time or right. The Bell had 2 cooks back there tops and rarely had that issue for the same amount of table. The only improvement that has been made there is the bathrooms, if you had been to the Bell you know those bathrooms were tiny but outside of that, its nothing to be excited about. At this point it will be always be known as "the place where the Bell used to be, but have you seen their prices,...
Read moreYou would think that a steakhouse with these prices would have good service and great food. Well, not so much. FYI - we had a group of 11 or 12. First of all, a couple of the salads came out wrong and when finally corrected, they didn't come out until well after the entree's were served. My entree came out pretty quickly. I wasn't finished with my salad, yet. It was VERY wrong. I asked for a rib eye medium. It was well done. So, I asked a server that was at our table (not OUR server) to take it back. At the same time the person across from me had the same problem. about 5 minutes later, OUR server came and asked me if the steak was over done or not done enough. SHE took my order and should have known. When the 'new' steak finally came, it was done right in one side and very rare on the other side. I didn't send it back. Also, the rib eye was strange. In my experience, a rib eye has a very tender part around the edge of the 'main' steak. This did not have that part. That is half the reason I order a rib eye. When the food started coming out, the person bringing the food was asking who ordered the dish she had in her hand. This is a pet peeve of mine. The server should know who ordered what and bring it to that person. In a group like ours, some people order the same entree, but with different sides, sometimes. So, plates will get mixed up. When you are charging as much as you are, you need to have servers who will bring you your dish without asking the table who had what. Also, you need to have a cook that knows how to cook a steak. Bottom line - I doubt that I will...
Read morePrime 757 Restaurant is open! My boyfriend and I have been watching and waiting for Prime 757 to open. I happened to drive by there Friday 8/1/25 and was thrilled to see they were open. We decided to go without a reservation. We did not know that this weekend is a soft opening for friends & family. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated. We were wowed with the total renovation. The color palette was modern, comfortable and pretty. Our waitress came quickly to get our mocktail order. Their ABC liquor license is delayed. I had the Cucumber Mint Cooler. It was a bit too sweet for me. I added water as I went. The drink was refreshing, mint and cucumber were fresh and tasty stand alone. We initially ordered two of the Queen weekend special ribeyes with sides and salads. Waitress came back to let us know they haven't received their prime rib order yet. We changed the order to one T-bone steak to share. 18 oz was plentiful for two to share. My boyfriend ordered the rice pilaf. Waitress came out to say the chef wasn't satisfied with the rice, wanted to know if he would substitute. He was fine replacing the rice with mashed potatoes. l respect the chef for his quality control. The salads were delicious, nice touch to have the plates chilled. Warm yeast rolls with whipped butter was tasty. The t-bone was cooked to perfection! I'm sure there was plenty of butter in the meat, it was delicious! Overall, it was a great dining experience. Once they work out the kinks, I am confident this will be a stellar five star restaurant. We will return as a special date night or...
