I donât usually write reviews, especially negative ones, but after several disappointing experiences at Subway, I feel obligated to share. My latest visit was unfortunately the final straw in a string of frustrating encounters that reflect a serious decline in quality, service, and cleanliness at this location â and possibly the brand overall.
To start with, the staff seemed completely disengaged. When I walked in, there was no greeting, no eye contact â just a blank stare and an impatient âwhat do you want?â The employees acted like I was inconveniencing them by being there. I understand that food service can be a tough job, but basic courtesy and professionalism shouldnât be too much to expect.
The sandwich station was a mess. There were remnants of old vegetables, spilled sauces, and crumbs all over the counter. It looked like it hadnât been wiped down in hours. The food containers were poorly stocked and what was left didnât look fresh â wilted lettuce, dried-out cheese, and soggy tomatoes. Some bins were nearly empty or had food visibly mixed with other ingredients. It was genuinely unappetizing.
I ordered a simple footlong sub, and even that seemed like a challenge. The sandwich artist was either poorly trained or just didnât care. Ingredients were haphazardly thrown on, the bread was smashed, and everything was sliding out by the time it was wrapped. There was no consistency or attention to detail, and the result was a mess that I had to reassemble myself. The portion sizes were noticeably stingy too â one or two sad slices of meat barely covered the bread, and the veggies were unevenly distributed. For the price, it felt like a ripoff.
When I went to pay, the card reader wasnât working properly, and rather than offer a solution, the employee just shrugged. I ended up having to dig for cash while holding my poorly wrapped sandwich and watching a growing line of equally frustrated customers form behind me. The whole checkout process was disorganized and slow.
The dining area wasnât any better. Tables were dirty, the floor was sticky, and the trash bins were overflowing. There was an unpleasant smell lingering in the air â not the aroma of fresh bread or grilled meat, but something stale and musty. It made me question the hygiene standards of the entire store.
The most baffling part is that Subway used to be a reliable option for a quick and decent meal. It wasnât gourmet, but it was consistent. Lately, though, it seems like theyâve completely given up on quality control. The food is subpar, the service is indifferent at best, and the atmosphere feels more like a gas station than a restaurant.
Whatâs worse is that this isnât a one-time incident. Iâve had similar experiences at other Subway locations, which suggests the problems go beyond one poorly managed store. It feels like the brand has lost touch with what made it successful â fresh ingredients, clean environments, and friendly service. Now itâs all cost-cutting, disinterested staff, and a general decline in standards.
Unless thereâs a serious turnaround, I wonât be returning to this or any other Subway. There are simply too many better options out there that value their customers and take pride in their food. Subway used to stand for something better. Now it just stands for...
Read moreOrdered online for pickup on 3/3. The app would not take my coupon so I figured Iâd just give it to them when I picked it up. Pulled up to window, waited for 15 minutes for someone to come to the window. Knocked on the window, called the store 2 times to tell them I was there, and watched the employee walk around not answering the phone. Finally he came close enough to the window that when I knocked again he heard me. Told me he couldnât take my coupon and handed me my food, which was cold, and I thought from sitting for so long. Turns out I asked for both subs to be toasted, neither were, paid for extra cheese on 1 sub and didnât get ANY cheese on it at all, also ordered a steak and cheese sandwich and got NO cheese on that one either. I reached out to the store immediately and received a response back basically telling me to get lost and there was nothing they could or would do for me. Iâm highly disappointed. This store is in my area, and I do go from time to time out of convenience, but Iâve never had a âgreatâ experience there, and after this last time, seeing how little the owner cares about his customers, I will NEVER go back, and recommend u...
Read moreI am a daytime supervisor at this location and I am pleased to say that we have a new owner who is currently resolving all of the issues at this store. He has been extremely hands-on in the past week since obtaining ownership of this franchise, and has been very proactive in making us the best restaurant in our area. We have been without a manager for months now, making it extremely hard to enforce policies with fellow employees because there has been no accountability. I personally apologize to any customers who have had a lackluster experience at our store, and with this new leadership, I am very optimistic in these policies and procedures being followed and all employees having a new-found respect for a job well done. Please come in and see us, and enjoy...
