Read moreI put $100 down on a brand new 2023 Honda Rebel 1100 Manual on July 8th. I was told that it would be delivered by July 28th, and when it wasn't, I called to ask. At this point the delivery is late but no big deal, there is plenty of time to ride. However, when I called I was told that it would be another 2 weeks, fast forward, it is now September 12th and I still don't have the bike. I just received a call and a text that says it will be in by the end of the week or next week. They fully expect me to pay full summer pricing for a bike that is being delivered in Fall and when I told them I wasn't happy and wouldn't be paying full summer price, all I got was a "Ok" from the texter, Calvin Nurmikko. When I proceeded to ask if they would be willing to compensate, I was told the Manager offered to knock off $500 which we all know is hardly much at all when you're spending $15,000 - $20,000. Poor service poor customer service. People spend a lot of money on these machines, and I had a long list of parts I was willing to overpay to have them install for me. I'm taken aback by the lack of willingness to offer an appropriate discount or some sort of compensation. Although I know my business, or lack thereof, won't drive this company out of business, I'll still be glad to take my hard earned money somewhere else and actually get a Fall/Winter price. Side note, the Honda Rebels are known to sell at MSRP, I have even heard testimony of some dealers going below MSRP, no excuses for the lack of willingness to barter for a happy customer.
Edit as a reply to the managers attempt to save face saying "We tried reaching out to you multiple times but were unable to" You did get ahold of me, and you weren't willing to make it right the first time, hoping that I would accept your horrible $500 off of a $15,000-$20,000 total price tag at the end of a riding season, if you tried to make it right the first time instead of being greedy and selfish then maybe we could have worked out a deal but you tried to swindle me with your $500 off offer and I wasn't biting, THEN you wanted to try to talk more, this ain't a bargain shop, do I look like Gibralter Trade Center to you? Try being a professional instead of greedy and selfish salesman, you don' give people dates and miss them, 3, 4, 5 times, be at the end of the season, and then only offer $500 off of almost $20,000. Be better, do better. It's really unfortunate because I really liked Macomb Powersports but this bad taste has tainted your...
Read moreI purchased a pair of motorcycle gloves but realized they were the wrong size. I wore them for about 10–15 minutes, and my fingers started going numb while my hands felt like they were falling asleep. Once I took them off, I saw they were too small and didn’t fit right—I have wider hands but shorter fingers. I went back to the store within their 25-day exchange policy, expecting to swap them for a different size or get store credit. However, the manager said they couldn’t process the exchange because the vendor recently changed their rules and the manager couldn’t override the policy, even though I would’ve accepted any resolution (store credit, exchange, etc.). The manager didn’t even come out to speak with me—they just relayed the message through a very polite sales associate. Moving forward, if returns aren’t allowed for certain vendors, the store should clearly state that on receipts (e.g., ‘No returns/exchanges on [Vendor] items’). That way, customers know before buying. So, if you’re shopping at Macomb Powersports, double-check the return policy—especially for Aero-Flo gloves. If they don’t fit, you might be stuck with them. Hope this helps others avoid the same issue!
If a rider’s hands are falling asleep and their fingers are going numb, that’s a safety concern—regardless of whether the gloves were worn for 5, 10, or 20 minutes. The issue isn’t about the cost; it’s about how the situation is handled. A manager should consider the potential risks before making a...
