Danny O's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Chesterton

Well, highly do not recommend danny'os. After years of loving this place, we came here after our rehearsal dinner with friends and family from all over the county as my fiance was in the marines. We are getting married on Friday. As we were hanging out, catching up, sharing stories, this woman Shelly I believe her name was (not our waitress. Our waitress was AMAZING) she was complaining that she wanted to be off work soon and that we "made a mess" so we ultimately felt bad, started cleaning up. Our waitress came by and said that we don't have to do any of that. It seemed like we didn't have a choice and that we were extremely unwelcomed. We have been customers here before and now will recommend anyone for a good time to make the trip to Westpoint Lounge & Grill Praying my wedding week goes smoothly than this.

Apparently one of the only Irish bars in the area and it's attended by regulars. Be aware that it's an adult only establishment as it is a bar. That being said parking is good and the resturant is pretty clean. But be warned it does smell of cigarette smoke.

That being said the food, or at least what I had for st. Patrick's day, the corned beef was very good and quite a good portion. So 5 stars for food.

Went there on lunch but my biggest gripe was the slow service. There was only 2 servers which I understand. But when she sitting down with other customers, chatting with the regulars, while I'm sitting 20 mins on a short lunch, waiting for a check. Not good for lunch runs then. Almost practically inattentive staff. She was friendly the 3 mins we saw her getting our order, bringing our food, and us with the check. Me and the Wife needed a get away so we stayed at a hotel in Chesterton then we Googled to see what places for a real burger that me and the wife were craving and found Danny O's spot. We had the smoked burger with cheese and fries with coleslaw. For starters the smoked burger was the best we ever had and fries were perfect and dont forget the Coleslaw. We always had the best pizza around Chicago but these guys do it so damn good also. The beers were cold and this is a local bar and everyone was nice and respectful.
