Have been a customer of China 8 for years. The first owners were great sadly they sold a few years back. Not sure but I think they changed owners again recently. The food here used to be outstanding and a fair value. Lately the overall quality has been lacking. Portions have gotten smaller and smaller each time we order. We have continued to support this place in spite of these things. No more. This place has gone from mediocre to absolutely awful. Tonight was the last straw. Our three combination platters and of lo mein that cost $49. The chicken and broccoli combo good thing it was only half full because it was basically broccoli and stringy chewy chicken in a very runny brown water. The shrimp fried rice was stale rock hard and flavorless. Had literally nothing in it. No egg no onion nothing!! A grand total of 4 mini shrimps. The beef lo mein tasted like peanut butter the beef was rock hard. The lo mein didn’t taste cooked. The egg rolls were cold and limp like the deep fryer oil was not up to temperature. The shrimp egg foo young combo maybe had four mini shrimps in it. The flavor was ok. But the brown gravy was separated and congealed. The entire meal was absolutely horrifying. I called to complain and let them know that I was very disappointed after being a customer for ten years and would not be coming here any more. To which they said “so what” muttered something in Chinese and then hung up on me. So I guess my only option now is to warn everyone else how bad this place has become. This wasn’t the first time it was bad. I just thought I was ordering on a bad night. But tonight confirmed it. This place is being operated like a dying restaurant slowly fading away. There’s plenty of other Chinese restaurants in the area. It’s just disappointing that what was once the best place...
Read moreDO NOT COME HERE OR ORDER FOOD FROM HERE FROM ANY DELIVERY PLATFORMS THEY ARE PARTNERED WITH!!!!! I never leave reviews but this one I must leave. I ordered through Uber eats and recently we haven’t been able to get any deliverers to pick up food and bring it to me (I can’t drive due to medical issues). So I order food from here because it’s close, I want to try different places and if I can’t get a someone to deliver food then I can switch to pickup(couldn’t do). So I cancel my order and reorder the same exact thing which is fine (my food would’ve never arrived). Now I’ve canceled orders due this exact reason before and I’ve gotten my money back. But now I’m out of $100 and I can’t get my money back because “it’s unfair to the merchant” (never heard of this) although I reordered instantly after canceling with the same exact order and if you can’t put 2 and 2 together then I don’t know. Not only that the food I received when I did pick up was horrible. My chicken was flavorless and uncooked! $10 of chicken that I had to throw out! It’s not fair that I’m scammed out of $100 for bad wasted food but I guess they need the money more than me. Im unsure it’s not entirely there fault as I don’t know how things work on there side I told Uber eats that I would spare them a bad review if I got my refund back for something I didn’t get but that’s not the so here I am😊. So again, DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!
PSA- I see a response but I guess no one read that my FOOD my CHICKEN was UNDERCOOKED. Another REASON why I GAVE A ONE STAR. Don’t care if it’s a small business cook the...
Read moreHORRIBLE!! Is the best way to describe the food. I ordered the sweet-and-sour chicken combo, the chicken was dried out, old and reheated in the fryer multiple times because when it was my turn to be served it it was a dark brown almost black. The rice appear to be old and also incredibly dry! I also ordered wonton soup the noodles were brown and overcooked and whatever product it was in the middle of the noodles was fatty and disgusting! I was given old soup noodles that was soggy. The whole entire meal was worthy of the garbage you couldn’t even enjoy it was that disgusting I would never ever ever go...
