Good food, BAD ATTITUDE!

We came in very pleased to see a new food spot in the neighborhood and were eager to try it, as we love supporting local businesses (and a solid lunch!) We were a bit surprised when the man working the counter (Male, Mid-to-late 40s, 5 '7) seemed to be rude and abrupt while we put in our order. We ignored this and gave benefit of the doubt.

Then when we checked out, we were overcharged, as the same man working the cash register announced our total and then rang up a DIFFERENT NUMBER which was charged to my card. We didn't notice until we came home, and we called back in to ask about it. He let me know what we had been charged for each item, plus tax and a 4% credit card fee, although he stated a different total when we checked out and he did not mention any 4% fees. When speaking with him regarding our concerns he said "the 4% fee is on the side of the register". No apology, same bad attitude. We told him we wouldn't be back in and he said "That's fine."

This was a weird experience, and despite the food being solid, the team in the back working hard, and this being local, we just won't be back after we were treated like this. We ARE the neighborhood, don't be rude to us, don't overcharge us,...

PRETTY STUNNED AT HOW EXPENSIVE THIS PLACE IS!!! We got 3 full sized cold subs and it was $61 and change! Absolutely INSANE! We got an Italian w/ cheese, lettuce, tomato & onion. A roast beef w/ cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion & coleslaw. And a turkey with nothing but cheese. $60! SIXTY DOLLARS! Thats $20 a sub! Are you kidding? I am so baffled and confused at how they can charge like that with a straight face. And the subs were nothing special either, I've had better from the few pizza places that are in the immediate area. Heck, I can get better lunch meat from Shoprite and I ain't kidding.

Since changing hands, the decline in food is noticeable. Ordered a turkey hoagie, roll was hard a rock and not to mention the sandwich itself was dry! Ended taking everything off the bread and eating by itself. Husband ordered a chicken wrap and ended spitting out alot of the chicken because it just wasn't right according to him. He also ordered cheese fries which were burnt. Chesse was barely edible. They gave us two free bagles which were also hard as a rock. Hoagie, wrap and two drinks cost $51.00. Do better guys! We used to enjoy ordering from here and didn't mind paying the prices because the food was good. Will give it some time before ordering again with hopes they turn this...
