Regina Bakery — Restaurant in Cheviot

I went in to inquire about having a Birthday cake made. I wanted to make this a special birthday by having a pretty cake made. The lady that was working was extremely rude, would not even really let me explain what I wanted. She kept cutting me off, and talking over me. I simply wanted a yellow cake, with white icing, and a blue border around it. I was told that their cake baker/decorator could not do that. That they didn't know how to. I then asked if they could just put sprinkles on it, and she snapped back with a flat no. So basically all she was willing to do was make a boxed cake with icing. No decorations of any kind. I can't even imagine what the wedding cakes must look like!

Side note, the store was in desperate need of repairs and updating. It appeared to be very dirty and unorganized.

Came at open at 7:15. The cases were not set up yet. Tge two girls acted like it was an inconvenience to be waiting on me. The dozen donuts I bought were awful. The cake doughnuts are rock hard and ice cold. The jelly stripes are clearly from days ago as the outsides on both of then were hard and stale. The Boston cream was fresh as were the 2 yeast rings but the rest of the dozen was AWFUL. If I wanted a mediocre product I would have went to Dunkin or Kroger. I thought a bakery AT OPEN would be a better quality product so I was willingly to pay for that quality. Definitely did not get it. Called to tell them about the bad product, the response "I'll tell the owner and bakers.Took them back for a refund and went down the street to Servatii, where they were fresh and delicious. Should have done that from the start!...

Well, I guess it will be my last time here. I called early today to ask a question about a birthday cake/ icing my wife wanted from this bakery. She had them here often as a child. The woman who answered told me to call the shady lane location. Didn't offer any solutions or options. No cakes already made? So on my way home I thought I'll just drop on and see what they had. Not much, but there were a few cakes. I chose one. Asked what the cake was. While I was buying it the woman who apparently took my call was telling the story of our call in an insulting manor towards me. The man on the phone was the man in the store.
