I absolutely love love love LOVE this park!! It's huge & has tons of different things you & your kids can play with.
There's a great entertainment area for BBQ or picnics or family gatherings. There's a gazebo like place & open picnic tables & BBQ pits with lots of trees for shade.
There's a walking trail with a bunch of different workout equipment along the walking path. There's a set of swings outside the children's play area for older or bigger kids/adults.
The playground area is the best:: There's two different play ground areas with tons of different playsets kids can play on & not get bored with like slides, monkey bars, bridges, climbing rails, "Ninja warrior" type playsets, huge train u can climb up, spinning circle thing u can sit in, a car & a dinosaur thing to sit on & rock on, just a TON of different jungle gym activities to wear them kids out lol. There's swings for kids with disabilities too, so that's very nice. & It's mostly fenced in so you don't have to worry about little ones running off ;-)
There's a huge covered area for events with a bunch of picnic table bench seating, & I believe you can rent the inside housing area & use their kitchen too which is huge & nice. Perfect for baby showers or family reunions or birthday parties.
They have indoor bathrooms you can use, not porta potties lol
Last, but not least.... they also have a big swimming pool & are currently installing a splash pad so that's going to be an awesome addition to the swimming pool. & There's a concession stand too if u get hungry or thirsty. (You do have to pay to use the swimming pool but it's fairly cheap)
I just love this huge park it's a great place to take the kids & spend the day without them getting bored within an hour. I'd recommend it for kids' birthday parties cause there's just so much to do & it's free (unless u rent the building or go swimming) but there's so much to do that you'd still have a great time without spending any money there. Have...
Read moreWhile at the pool at 5pm 7/17/18 there one life guard by the pool with a pool full of children. A child did a flip off the side and hit the side of the pool. The othet 2 life guards were sitting in the concession stand. Where do they do that at??? When the pool is opened the life guards should be in there seat by the pool. Should the child been flipping off the side of the pool? Absolutely not! But if the life guards had been present I think the whistle could have gotten his attention. After speaking to a Thomas and the Mayor of Cheviot, stated that all the guards didn't need to be present and the guards where there to save life if someone ud drowning not to stop kids from flipping in the pool. I said that to say, make sure the life guards are in place if you send or take your children there. I...
Read moreIt's been over 5 years since I last came and sadly this will probably be it for me. Meeting many wonderful Cheviot district police officers was a great experience. I sadly came across one funnel cake booth. One of the workers at the booth was very rude. He was a young man. I simply asked the female tenant for a strawberry funnel cake and he said no you cannot have a funnel cake. My friend did not like his tone and demeanor. I responded back with the same demeanor. And said oh yes I can and I will have my funnel cake! Otherwise I will be HAPPY to get my money back and take my business somewhere else. The young lady made me my order. Also there were a huge amount of bees there this year! We couldn't even...
