Food was great but honestly, probably wont go again. First off we walked in and crossed a waitress who said we could take any seat. We asked to sit outside, and pointed out which area we would sit in. She said she would have someone find us. No one came. Not even to bus the still dirty tables in our seating area. 2.5 Bonus: a previous patron had tried to stabilize this table with sugar packets under one of the legs. Well, as it had rained a few times since then, the sugar washed out, leaving a mere pile of trash that did not support the table, and instead was attracting ants. After 15 minutes, finally went inside to hail a waitress. Took several more minutes before someone finally came out. This was after peak period, mind you, about 19:45. When we asked for menus, she pulled one out from the clutter of one of the dirty tables. The tables are not pre set— this menu was brought to someone else, eaten on, and then given to us. So decided what to eat, then went to wash my hands after handling dirty menus, and found vomit in the sink. The patron couldnt have washed it out, either, because it’s one of those dumb sinks that makes you hit your knuckles against the back of the basin just to get a little of the water. Complete with a dumb door that only opens inward, with no “foot ledge”, or even a reachable trash can to throw your door-napkin into. Back at the table, drinks were delivered. Had requested no ice in one of them, and it had ice. When offered a refill, we requested no ice again, and it was done correctly that time. Food was delivered in a timely manner. It was very good— especially the garlic bread. Toward the end, the waitress brought the check and tried taking our plates. I was not done yet, nor was I asked before she tried grabbing it, and had to hold the plate down before she paid attention. But yet when I was finished, plate empty, pushed to the edge of the table, and napkin on top, she left it behind??? Overall: sanitation was poor. Servers were forgetful. Food selection was largely sandwiches but our...
Read moreShort: No frills Restaurant bar, no pool tables, no dart boards at least not that I saw. Food is pretty good. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Crowd seems to be mostly grown folks 30+.
Long: Met a friend here just before 5pm. for farewell drinks. I was acknowledged right away by the server and was told he'd be right with me. Stood there for 5-7 minutes as he walked by several times to refill ice in the soda area and serve a drink. My guest arrived and he asked if he could help us. I told him party of two. He told me it's open seating sit anywhere you like. You're probably thinking what I am, why didn't he say this in the first place right! We picked a table another 7-10 minutes later he asks what we would like to drink. Now, he did seem a bit busy and only one serving at the time. And I will note that he was friendly and knowledgeable once he did serve us. But reading previous post, there does seem trend with disappointing service.
However, after that rough start service was actually pretty good. There must have been a shift change since the male server was gone and replaced by two female servers.
I stayed for dinner and asked the regulars and bartender for recommendations. With the recommendations I ordered the chicken fried steak and an order of wings. The chicken fried steak and tators where of good quality diner food. The wings were plump and tasty on par with B dub dubs. However, cooked well enough where they were still juicy and I did not have to worry about biting into chicken that is still clucking. I worry about that with the aforementioned place.
Atmosphere: The regulars were friendly and chatty, I felt pretty comfortable. Seems like a good kick back place to go after work alone or with friends.
Overall I would say this seems to be a nice local bar to come for lunch or dinner, chat and relax...
Read moreThe waitress wasn't really friendly what so ever 😒 the people that were coming in there to eat, were very friendly 😃 We had a very nice elderly lady whom lived there in Cheyenne, & she was just super sweet to us. Her daughter was the bartender name Pam. The waitresses they had never smiled 😃, we had told them that our sugar, was super hard, & nothing wasn't coming out of the packages, our waitress ignored us on several occasions. The person that I was with from work, had to just finally get up, & get us our sugars that weren't hard!!! Pam's Mother was showing us something of their work they do, & it's just absolutely beautiful. I had requested it if they had started up again to, please let me know, so I could purchase something from them for a family member.
