My recent dining experience at Koto Hibachi was nothing short of great. My girlfriend and I ventured into this culinary haven, and our taste buds were treated to a symphony of flavors with the Hibachi Steak and Hibachi Chicken dishes.
The entrees, complete with fried rice, egg, and a medley of fresh vegetables (green pepper, onion, carrots, zucchini, and broccoli), showcased the chef's mastery in blending textures and tastes. What elevated the experience even further was the addition of the Yum Yum sauce, a delightful condiment that added a perfect touch of creaminess and tang to the dishes.
The efficiency of the kitchen staff was noteworthy. The chefs swiftly and skillfully prepared our meals, ensuring that we didn't have to wait long to indulge in the gastronomic delights before us. The open kitchen layout allowed us to witness the culinary artistry firsthand, adding an interactive element to the dining experience.
While the eating area was compact, it exuded a cozy ambiance without feeling cramped. The clever layout ensured that diners had enough space to enjoy their meals without uncomfortably brushing elbows with fellow patrons. The intimacy of the setting also allowed us to appreciate the meticulous craftsmanship of the chefs as there was no glass or hidden design to shield them from customers. I also enjoyed the color scheme of the restaurant as well.
One aspect to consider is the parking situation—there is no dedicated parking lot, only street parking and since it's on the brink of a residential area you may find trouble in getting a spot. However, this minor inconvenience is quickly forgotten once you step inside and are greeted by the tantalizing aroma of sizzling hibachi dishes.
I hope that sums up my experience in great fashion. I even encourage tipping here! The food...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to go to Koto Hibachi because it’s black owned and we wanted to support it.
The place itself was clean but not a restaurant for dining in although they do have tables.
The young black order taker was unsure of the items that were on the menu and was uncertain about everything I asked her.
Another black female came to assist but her attitude was terrible as it seemed as though she was irritated I had questions. I asked for the manager or owner and was told no one was available.
My bill did not reflect the prices on the menu so I had more questions that further irritated those two females.
After my order was called for pick up, I kindly went to the table to see my items. My order was not accurate as they PURPOSELY did not add all my food hoping I’d just take it and leave.
So I went back to the counter and asked about the other items that were ordered and paid for and she just grabbed them sitting on the counter. She was pissed off that I had the audacity to ask for food I paid for.
That leads me to believe she was pissed because I had too many questions and to one up me she decided to keep my food.
Initially I wasn’t going to give a review because I didn’t want to discredit a black business but after reconsidering I decided to give a review in hopes the owner would see it.
The food was good although it mentions certain veggies and replaced with other vegetables. Specifically it says zucchini but gave me green bell peppers.
Nevertheless the food was good.
The service was less than kind and for that reason I will not return.
Customer service is EVERYTHING!!
Owners be mindful of people you hire as it can hurt...
Read moreI had a taste for hibachi at home but didn’t want to cook. I searched and noticed Koto Hibachi had great reviews so I decided to give them a try. I ordered the Koto Combo that included chicken, steak and shrimp. The food wasn’t horrible but definitely not the experience I expected. First when I received my order I thought “40 bucks for this”, but I still tried to go into it with an open mind. I was shocked that no yum yum sauce came with my order so I purchased 3 small cups at .69 each.
I literally just got home, opened my container and tasted the food. Honestly I would agree with others that the food is wayyyy too salty and the shrimp, chicken and steak was a bit dry and didn’t appear to be freshly prepared. The yum yum sauce was spicy and I requested regular yum yum sauce. I expressed to the guy who took my order who was courteous I must add, that this was my first time and I was hoping for a great experience. Sadly this wasn’t that experience that I desired and the rest of my food will probably go in the trash because if I keep eating it, my blood pressure will be through the roof. I should have followed my first mind and went to Hamada or Wu’s House.
This was just my personal experience provided in real time, however I say give them a try and see what type of experience you have. As for me I probably...
