Mostly reviewing off the Chinese side of things, I've so far have gone there twice. Their americanized Chinese dishes are on-par with other Chinese restaurants excluding the typical buffet smell. From having a General Tso's and Szechwan beef dinner, the spiciness is what you can expect out of other restaurants but a little bit sweeter. That may be enjoyed by others, but I think the sauce is a little bit too sweet. Overall, it's a really nice place to be by when you're looking for that after-work fast Chinese. Photo is a picture of the Szechwan Beef dinner; a mountain of fried rice and spring roll included.

I usually really enjoy this restaurant. The food is pretty good and they have really good specials. HOWEVER there was a time I went in to get my food and the woman handling the food blew her nose and did not wash her hands. I notified the manager who then made her wash her hands. I should have stopped eating here back then. I just ordered my food today and half way through my meal see this bug UNDER my egg foo young. Had I not moved the food off the plate I would have never seen and possibly ingested the bug. The food is good but not good enough to disregard their poor health standards.

I take no pleasure in delivering negative reviews especially to a local restaurant. I've been driving past this place for nearly a decade but we usually use Triad/Chi Oyster hours, S. Coast Sushi, and now Umai, but because we had a messy garden day we opted for a delivery service. Notably, a venue that sells both Chinese and Japanese is a red flag for us, we gave them the benefit of the doubt, we should have listened to our instincts.

I will keep this fact based. Order placed at 7:20, delivery expected at 8:20. One ring phone call at 8:15, assuming it was the driver, I text back "Hi", 8:33 text received: "I'm coming". He then calls back at 9:11 apologizing saying he the only driver, has 5 orders to deliver and that he is way and we are the next stop. Food finally arrives at 9:39 (another 28 min later). Sushi was warm (since it was sitting in his car for over an hour and it was 80 plus today), the maki rolls were incompletely rolled and half of them were falling apart, impossible to eat with chop sticks, the rice was "mushy" (over cooked and improperly cooled), Sashimi pieces were quite generous sizes but so warm it was difficult to chew due to size and sinew. The tuna was a cheap, low quality Ahi and not Blue fin. It was the faded pink (not ruby red) type with horrible texture. Lastly, the skewers (chicken and beef) were cooked to a pulp, hard, like leftover teeth jamming carnitas that had to be literally ripped from the skewer. Of the $88 order, sadly, we were too freaked out and irritated to enjoy it or continue eating, so about 2 (of 3) rolls and 5 sashimi pieces ended up in the trash. We rarely throw anything away. We wanted this to be our next "go to " place. So sad.

If we ever use Chinese Kitchen Sushi again, we will likely just try the Chinese menu. My advice, call the order in, do NOT use online ordering and find out if they have more than 1 driver working...especially when you live 7...

Food was great. HOWEVER, the service was completely terrible. We came in to the restaurant completely empty and ordered our food. Another group walked in and were immediately catered to. They sat down AFTER us, ordered AFTER us, received their food BEFORE us, and left BEFORE us. The server ( ASSISANT SA ) provided great service for them, refilled their waters, and then proceeded walk immediately past us with no refills. We did not get our waters refilled the entire time we were there. After this horrible service, we decided to not tip due to our horrible experience. As we paid and received our receipt to tip, the server STOOD OVER US to watch and see if we would tip. We still decided not to tip. She then told us that we HAD to tip, and that if we were ever to come back that we would not be able to sit down at a table without tipping. Unless gratuity is included, TIPPING IS OPTIONAL. We still did not tip. How could you expect a tip after that horrible service. If you are Black, please go somewhere where your black dollar will be...

We happened to be in the area and so took a chance - so glad we did! My Boyfriend doesn't do sushi and I LOVE it so we both got to eat what we wanted - BONUS. The sushi I had, the Godzilla roll w/o the wasabi sauce was sooo good. Fresh and so flavorful. I ate the whole thing...like 16 pieces! The beef and broccoli my Boyfriend got waa good but not the best he's had he also had the potstickers and they made up for the okay-ness of the entree. Overall AWESOME for sushi and good for couples or families with different food preferences. I would eat there as often as possible but sadly googled them the next day and they do not deliver to my address - but that's a testament to how good the sushi was - I wanted it again...
