Ben & Jay's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Chickasha

My husband took me to the NEW Ben & Jays here in Lawton,OK that just opened up for my birthday dinner. This was our 1st time there & will NEVER go back or recommend anyone to go there. I'm not one to complain about food especially pizza as it's my favorite. I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch & my husband ordered a Pepperoni pizza. We couldn't even eat it as it was SOAKED in grease so bad that the whole bottom crust was soggy. And it was like this as soon as we got it. There was no flavor at all. I only ate one piece & I felt like all I ate was grease. I know pizza can be greasy but this was REALLY BAD! We were so disappointed. And another thing was our waitress kept cutting me off when I was trying to talk to her to ask her a couple questions. She rushed me & grabbed the menus off the table after I told her I wasn't done. When I went up to pay for our $60 dollar bill I told her we were very disappointed with our food & that I couldn't even eat it because of how soggy it was from all the grease. And I told her it was my birthday & that this was supposed to be special. She did say sorry but that was it. And she did see that we didn't even eat pizza when she brought us our boxes. We ended up throwing it all away. What a waste of $60 dollars. We were so hungry too & left STILL hungry. This place has NOTHING on Luigis! Luigis is the BEST PIZZA place in Lawton. What's sad is we talked to another couple that ate here at Ben & Jays here in Lawton a couple days ago & they had a similar experience & said they will never go back either. My husband actually got sick from eating his pizza because of the pizza being soaked in grease. I wouldn't even give one star but had to to be able to leave...

Tonight was the 2nd time I've had an incomplete or erroneous order from Ben & Jay's. That's really unfortunate because we have enjoyed the quality of the food but it's a problem to order pick up and get home to find the order is inaccurate. I shouldn't have to drive back to get what should have been in my order the first time. I called and reported that this was the 2nd time this has happened. All I got was an "Ok.". Apparently customer service is not important or a strength for them. It's a shame because we find it important to support local businesses, but now I don't feel I could remotely trust that something I order will be right and I don't feel I should have to inspect every item in the to go containers before leaving. That should be a standard....getting your customers orders correct. So for those thinking of trying out this business....if you are doing take out, be sure to inspect it closely. Otherwise, you may find yourself in the same fix I've found myself...

I have a deep NEED for the jalapeno ranch. It's not spicy at all. It's just simply amazing.

Pizza is incredible and the crust is perfect. They have every topping we would ever want. The kids want me to tell you that they even have ricotta as a topping. Not a lot of places do. I was thrilled to see green olives.

Cinnamon Fazzolis. I don't even like cinnamon that much but I had to box them up to be able to stop eating them. They are so light. Wonderful.

We weren't impressed with the gyros and the house salad isn't anything to write home about. There's nothing wrong with them. They just aren't amazing like every other item we've tried.
