Wanted to try breakfast here based off of their reviews. First impression walking into the door is a very nice. Pleasant atmosphere specially, at 7:15 in the morning. Coffee is decent. Not great. Was unpleasantly surprised with the prices based off looking at their menu online was completely false advertisement. Burrito online said it was $8.50 got to the counter and ordered cup of coffee with their breakfast. Burrito and cashier gives me the price of $17 and change. If you’re going to pay that much, they better be the best burrito in town. OK first bite into burrito was decent second by hit a cold spot. No crunch to the bacon or any similar textures. Burrito has good flavor but everything is just a bunch of mush. Tortilla shell not toasted before constructing burrito. Entire left side was cold. All the way through the burrito were most of the sautéed items and potatoes and bacon rolled on. Salsa very eye pleasing but disappointing taste. No rich flavors other than just roasted tomatoes. For a place that tries to be very upscale and charges an arm and a leg. Their menu just does not live up to expectations. Would not recommend eating here at least for the breakfast burrito go somewhere else. You can get a cheaper burrito down the road for better quality they actually take pride in rolling their burritos unlike this place it just felt like they did not care at all. I gave this one a super poor rating, because there is literally no effort in...
Read moreLOVED: Fun atmosphere. Great menu. So many fresh, creative choices. The food presentation is spot on. Easy access to water and condiments. Quick beverage service. LIKED: Out table server (she delivered the food. You order at the counter) was friendly and worked to take care of us after the ordering server had messed up our order. She was great! Ordering was taken wrong which resulted in delayed food and overcharge. The food seems real fresh. It was very good - creative - but a bit greasy for me. I should have skipped the cheese on my tofu scramble and skipped the James Dean sausage. I don't like greasy. I think others would have loved it. The tofu with peanut was tasty. MEH: The gluten free French toast was ok but not great. I like eggy French toast. This was airy and fluffy. Others may have loved it.
I ABSOLUTELY recommend this place and I would come back again. I would just change my order a little. I do wish they had some egg free breakfast options. I'm thinking this would not be a good place...
Read moreI like my oats simple. I'm not one for fancy things, but I am particular about oats. I called in advance to see if they sold steel cut oats. They stated they do. When I ordered, they asked if I wanted an accoutrement of berries, nuts and yogurt. I like my oats plain. Oats cooked correctly do not require additional ingredients. When they rung up this bowl of oats, it was shy of 7 dollars. Let me repeat that. Seven. Dollars. I inquired about the price, given that I did not want the other ingredients. They would not adjust the price. To add insult to injury, I got rolled oats. Here's some perspective: 2lbs of top shelf organic rolled oats costs 4.99. I got 6oz of mushy, over cooked, probably Quaker oats. If you're looking to get your feelings and ego massaged by a pretentious, over priced, snowflake harboring cafe, this place is for you. If you want a simple, quality breakfast,...
