recently, on october fourteenth around six to seven pm, my party of four got horrible service. for context, my party is all people of color. we went to this location, super friendly with the staff and ordered our food. around seven, apparently one of the staff members (brown hair, white girl, tattoos on arms and fingers) whispered to her co-worker (man) and said “when are they going to leave” while pointing at us. this whole location had teenagers working, but yet my party felt many mirco-aggressions. i would think those educated (assuming they are in college) would know better. as a person of color, this place is awful. the same brown haired woman proceeded to also stare at us the whole time. for what reason, we are not sure? the comment itself, however was so disgusting and disrespectful. what did we do to deserve this? worst location ever. the one in downtown is so much better and kinder. don’t come here unless you want to be hate-crimed against by the staff. the only kind staff was the sweet blonde girl. she was so sweet, and happy. everyone else was awful and need a lesson on how to not be racist, better manners, and how to actually run a business. genuinely the worst. i am not the type to leave nasty reviews either like this, but i refuse to stay quiet and allow other poc (people of color) to visit here. do better.
edit: saw another review for this place and guess what, it was another person of color who noticed the staff is clearly very RUDE but with white customers, very KIND. this is disgusting. how are we this far in history but yet active racism exists. wow. actually mind-blown. if i could give this place a zero star, i would. accountability should be held, because it clearly wasn’t held for that poor customer. this place just gets worse and worse the more i read. but go to the downtown location instead for better staff members and environment. don’t support a...
Read moreThis review isn’t about the quality of the pizza it’s more about their services and their promise to make up for their mistake on a recently delivery order. I called last week and ordered a medium pepperoni pizza. Was told that the delivery time was between 45 minutes to an hour. So an hour and fifteen minutes go by and my pizza still hasn’t been delivered. So I call and find out they never printed my order so they said the quickest they could get it out was in 25 minutes. The manager that I was talking to also said sorry about the mixup we’re slammed right now but I can get you a pizza on the house for your next delivery. I was pretty excited about their willingness to offer this for the inconvenience and agreed that was a good deal. I failed to get the managers name though and this is where I messed up. So fast forward this week and I call to redeem my pizza only to be told there’s no note in my file/bio that says anything about a free pizza. The gentleman puts me on hold to ask the managers and they also know nothing of this free pizza so they just say sorry man and that’s that. It’s frustrating getting told one thing but to find out that they didn’t write anything down or make any note of this. I just wish they were more organized or had a better system at writing notes about customers. And if they do have a good system then I just wish that they would actually do what they say they are going to do to make up for an...
Read moreDear, Celestino Management I hope this message finds you well. I recently had dined at this Celestino location on October 14, 2024 from 7:00 to 7:30 I had experienced terrible customer service from an employee under your management. She appeared to be her early 20s Caucasian with brown hair and eyes tattoos and nose piercings and was around 5’6 . Originally she had greeted us politely but while we were still eating and dining within the restaurant me and my group of four all people of color mind you overheard her talking stating “ when are they going to leave” mind you we were still eating at the restaurant and hadn’t finished our food. The restaurant was not closing we did not arrive late and customers were still coming in to get food. We then proceeded to clean up our area leave the restaurant and discuss the treatment we had faced while dining here. I know that not all Celestino employees behave in such a disrespectful manner considering the downtown location from my experience has never treated me badly but this is unacceptable on the Chico East Ave Celestino part. Especially, considering they cater to a bunch of underage minorities across the street who attend Pleasant Valley. I hope with this review you’ll be enlighten about your treatment of customers when management is...
