JT’s Oven is a lot better than I expected. Is a well known fact that some reviews are going to be on the negative side, but thankfully the law of averages helps a lot. Plus, and this one is a big + Buy one, Get one? You don’t see that everyday. Right then and there the big moola gets divided into two. I already tried other Pizza places in Chico, no names as that would be a mean thing to do, besides I already said my view in previous reviews. One fellow reviewer said that JT Oven was like that big pizza chain that starts with a d. Sorry but I don’t think so at all, and here is why: Large Combo Pizza, $32.99, Pepperoni, Ham, Mushroom, Onion, Olive, Bacon, Sausage, Green Pepper. Frankly very tasty, and in no way, shape, or form I would confuse this pizza with the comparison. Simply put very enjoyable. Crusts tend to get soggy in a box, but this one still had some crunch. 4.5 Stars! The Garden Delight, $31.99. Mushroom, Onion, Olive, Tomato, Artichoke, Garlic, Green Pepper. This one from the point of view of a very fastidious person, always finding reasons to complain, this time she was all smiles, and even ventured to say this was the best so far in quite a while, and of course I had already come to the conclusion of what is not too like? Even the diced tomatoes 🍅 were fresh, artichoke plentiful, etc. Add to that equation that this was the “freebie”, how can you go wrong? Daya, whom I had the pleasure to meet and his family are really nice, vibrant business owners. Easy to respect and appreciate, specially when the two bad boys came out of the oven. Loaded, no real estate lacking here, generous good looking pizza pies. So was it a good deal all around? You betcha! Will be returning, God Willing, for at the very least an encore. No pizza chain competes with JT, or was it a fluke? 4.5 Stars!
3-1-2025 In the long list of pizzerias in Chico, JT’s Oven is the only one offering buy one, get one free. At current prices is not as good of a deal anymore, considering a Large Combo costs near $44. Still their large, which may be 14” or 16”, if generously built will be a filler. Quality of ingredients decent but not outstanding 3.5 Stars. Crust just average 3.5 Stars. Service in a quiet time of the day nice, 4 Stars. Ours were loaded so no complaints...
Read more18 months ago I would have given JT's pizza at 5 for their rating. But in the last 18 months they've gone way downhill. Low cost of their family deal with from $17.99 - $20.99. On top of that now they give you half to a quarter of the toppings they used to. They used to have one of the best garlic sauce is in town but tonight the pizza I got the garlic sauce was disgusting and they have slaughtered my pizza in it which I think they did to hide the fact that there was barely any cheese on it. The double salad was half the size of a double salad I got from them just three months ago. And one thing that I used to love about JT's pizza oven is they would give you fresh shredded parmesan cheese and a little 4 ounce container to put on your pizza. Tonight when I open that little container it was dried stinky crushed fake Parmesan cheese. I wouldn't eat it if you paid me to. It's just so sad because I think in there attempt to cut their overhead costs they have gone the route of destroying the quality of their Pizza. I could get pizza at Dominos for $6 it's better than the pizza I got tonight. As for me I will not be buying pizza at JT's Pizza Oven ever again. Oh I forgot they used to give you Newman's Own dressing in packets for your salad. Now they give you too little tiny 1 1/2 ounce containers of some kind of runny watery Ranch like sauce I wouldn't even call...
Read moreA friend and I were walking around looking for a place to eat on a Friday night. JT's had some beautiful looking garlic bread roles fresh from the oven so we came in to get a closer look (and smell). Once inside we found out it's always buy one pizza get a second one free. I like leftovers and couldn't pass on the deal. We ordered The Rooster and The Tropical Stuffer. Both Pizzas were AMAZING! Excellent dough and copious amounts of high quality toppings. It's clear that this family owned shop takes great care to use high quality ingredients and blend them in wonderful ways. I highly recommend ordering their pizzas right off of the menu. They know what they're doing. ...
