As someone who used to be a frequent flyer to this restaurant from 2009 to 2015 Iâm going to try to be exact in this review here on my revisit in 2022. The new location is nice with all the parking however I never really found parking to be an issue before. As others stated it is hard to see where to order from the road/ parking area. A simple sign would be tremendous help here. The new location seems like itâs the side or back area of someoneâs house instead of a hole in the wall restaurant like before. I wonder if thereâs some financial issues behind the scenes as to why they had to change locations. We ordered several different meats and only their bbq beef seemed fit for human consumption. The other meats seemed spoiled and smelled like they had just scooped it off the road hours prior where it was probably was closer to a servable temperature. Itâs really hard not to use humor to cope as I loved this restaurant so much when it was downtown. Iâm not even sure if it was changing locations that bent this restaurant over or if itâs a lack of qualified help or maybe something such as employee burn out but it was a truly tragic experience this evening. Maybe this experience was because it was 2 hours before closing on a Friday and they are not open on weekends. (Not to say that the employees were not entertaining to chat with or helpful) the saving grace of this place was the familiarity and well met expectations of the tried and true taquilia lime fries and sauce. I feel like a different restaurant murdered this one and is now wearing its skin and has moved to a new location. Itâs also worth noting that we had planned to eat there but ended eating back at the hotel as the 3 bbq covered tiny tables just didnât seem like an...
Read moreEdit: Seems that the ordering system has been improved and I give credit to the owner, but with Halal Boss in town now Kinders is not as appealing as it once was. I quickly received what I actually ordered last time, so I'm revising this review. I want to emphasize from the original review that the staff are excellent and working their heart out, but the system they were working with was broken.
Original: Pains me to say this, but I can't recommend what used to be one of my favourite places until they figure out their order system. I beg of them to figure it out, but until then I won't be returning. Kinders is at it's best, low to medium quality cuts of meat that are just cooked and seasoned so well and combined with other high-quality ingredients that it's great. It's the closest thing to real BBQ in Chico, just don't get the ribeye sandwich because the meat is nothing but gristle. Having said that, my last five orders which have been placed by a combination of walk-up, call ahead, or door dash delivery, have either been wrong, given away to others by accident, taken forever, or something else went wrong. Today I got cold sandwiches and they wasted my time because I ordered at the window and no one thought to call out my name when the order was ready. I also ordered and was charged for fries but that wasn't in the bag. Last week my door dasher said they gave my order to someone else and wasted my dasher's time, and the order still came wrong. The staff is working their hardest and the food is still as good as ever but the system is broken! Please fix and let me know when it's...

I can understand moving locations, however treating your customers like theyâre stupid and ignorant because they did not realize isnât okay, and then proceeding to send them all over hells half acre through construction traffic in the pouring rain to your food truck with absolutely 0 covering to get wet. (Old location had covering so wasnât a concern when ordering originally) AND GET THE WRONG ORDER BECAUSE THEY COULDNT BE BOTHERED TO UPDATE THEIR DOORDASH MENU. All while offering NO APOLOGY.
I understand that you used to have your restaurant at your residence, and moved locations now. But you probably shouldnât be surprised when customers still show up by mistake to the old location (your residence), and proceed to tell them that it is a residence and send them 10 minutes away through construction in the rain, offer 0 apology and just seemed more concerned about getting back to watching Netflix on a Tuesday afternoon, and then your workers say that this is âtheir first time updating the addressâ and âthey were out of x item so replaced it with yâ because they, self admittedly, forgot to update their menu.
Your customer service is a joke and we will absolutely not be back. So ridiculous to send someone in pouring rain to an uncovered food truck 10 mins away through construction because of your poor communication. I left my house an HOUR ago. It was supposed to take 20 minutes to go get my food. And my food is freezing cold, I have to...
