Kombo Kitchen - Thai and American — Restaurant in Chiefland

FIrst off, do yourself a favor and even if you don't like spicey food, order at least 1 Pepper or "Mild" spice level. My wife who cannot eat spicey food orded no spice here and quickly realized what she was missing the first time we orded from them. The second time she orded mild spice, and she suddenly realized why I couldn't shut up about this place the first time. Without exaggeration, this the most amazing Thai food I have found in a LONG time. I would go out of my way to stop by this truck. Everything about this place is authentic and amazing. In fact, their chicken wings may be the best in all of South Tampa. They are big, juicy and super hot and fresh. The owners are some of the nicest and most amazing people you will meet.

If you are still on the fence, take a look at the fact that the restraunt has over 200 reviews with a five-star rating. Everything about this place is amazing and so long as I live in Tampa, I will be coming here at least once a month.

Updated June 2023: This is the type of place that you go to when you have had a bad day and need some amazing food from amazing people. I'm updating my review because they have once again shown me what true good business owners should do for their customers. If you are looking for Thai do not get delivery. Call Kombo Kitchen and go pick it up. The owners will make you feel like everything is right in the world when everything seems to be going wrong. CASUAL DELICIOUS = With local Thai restaurants normally being all froo-froo/casual posh-posh it’s almost a cause of celebration to see a place cook it casually (like you’re invading some Thai family’s home) and charge appropriately (ever cooked Thai food yourself? It’s NOT that pricey). A TASTY ENVIRONMENT = This Food Truck’s magic goes beyond its tiny area; the friendliness of the host and order taker has even permitted him to BRING my food to me in my car—even when it was raining! Small tables allow you to sit and eat but most people just grab-n-go. TOTALLY COMFORTING FOOD = While Noodle and Rice dishes lean heavily on the carbs, it’s still been tasty because those same carbs soak in some great flavors. The lovely two ladies that greet you, from their bright red food truck nestled inside an RV Park are incredible cooks. We enjoyed all 3 dishes we ordered & will most certainly be back to enjoy more.
