The place looks good. It looked clean when I walked in. There was one guy ahead of me getting his donuts. There was a Gentlemen helping him. So a lady asked if she could help me. I told her I'd never been there before and that I would need a second.she didn't say anything and just stood there staring at me the whole time. I felt rushed the entire time and there was no one else in the store after the first guy had left so it was just me. She wasn't rude just felt like she was pushing me out the door. I wasn't going to let that affect my take on the Donuts. Glaze donut was ok, Definitely did not live up to the hype of all the reviews that I had been reading which was disappointing. It wasn't bad just wasn't great either It was kind of airy but also kind of spongey. The glaze on it was super thick. So I moved onto the long John with chocolate icing. Which was worse. There was very little icing, and the Icing Tasted really generic Which was weird because it also tasted gritty. The Dunking stick Wasn't bad at all. It had a little bit of crunch. It was soft on the inside with the right amount of glaze. Lastly I tried the cinnamon roll. Great taste and was super soft But they had super thick icing on it which overpowered the entire Cinnamon roll. One more thing I have to throw in. They serve United milk milk. The life of me I cannot understand how anyone drinks that. That and True moo Are the only milk I've ever tasted that don't taste like anything. I think I will give them another shot. Hopefully your visit is...
Read moreGreat place to get coffee and doughnuts. They are priced pretty damn good especially for a local business and not even 5-10 minutes away from franchises such as Mcdonalds and Tim Hortons. Their coffee is pretty good as well and better priced than most local businesses. Staff are friendly and the drive through staff take the time to get your order right. Get the apple fritters and microwave them for about thirty seconds and you will have gold on your plate when you eat it. The drive through can be pretty packed in the morning so go at a time where you can get past breakfast rush. All in all from an outsider (originally from Grove City) looking in this is a great place to pick up an easy breakfast for the family and coming in the morning to get coffee and some doughnuts will definitely be a tradition for my youngest son and I as he transitions through life growing up. ...
Read moreBeing from a different state, I accept the probability of never truly understanding the sub-Appalachian mindset especially as it relates to customer service and business. If a business makes a grand ballyhoo about a new limited time product it just seems logical there would be some certainty about its availability. Well... logical in most places outside Ross County.
I've now made 5 - FIVE - trips to try the much hyped Pumpkin Mountaintops. And I've received 5 unrelated explanations why they were unavailable. This last - they're not made every day (contradicts previous explanation). So what days are they available? Well... it just depends, but you can call ahead to order... (Cue Twilight Zone theme)
I'm truly gobsmacked. 😳
This may also explain why staff seems to constantly turn over and the quality of even regular varieties is no longer...
