Beatiful park with plenty of wildlife. The addition of the water fountains really add to the atmosphere. There's also a great 18 hole disc golf course, the Feast of the Flowering Moon festival, Fourth of July fireworks, and a yearly Halloween festival that's one of the most festive things in Chillicothe. In addition to the pond, the park has an art gallery located in the pump house, a public pool, basketball and tennis courts, access to the YMCA, and connects to the flood wall, which runs along the Scioto River and has some of the best views in the city. The parking lot on Water Street offers convenient access to the park itself and numerous downtown shops and restaurants. Really the only downside to be found is that the sidewalks around the pond can get a bit messy from the ducks and geese. But there are more than enough reasons to love this park anyways.

Beautiful enormous park that looks like it's been established for a very long time. It has lots to do including a pond for feeding ducks or fishing. The playground was enormous and had both newer and older equipment including 3 ADA compliant swings. One with a wheel chair access platform. My kids played for almost an hour and didn't explore everything. There were also ball fields and some historical pieces sprinkled around the park. The town "trolley" stops in the center of the park and there was a whole section of the park we didn't adventure to.

Took the family here for a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. This park is very well designed! They have specific playgrounds for almost every kids age up to about 10 or 12. They have a smaller one for kids as young as 1 year old. And the in between age group as well. Whoever made decisions on the objects to put in this park for the kids did a great job. There are a lot of different little gyms that you dont usually see at other parks. There is plenty of parking as well. We will be going back on a regular basis.

This is a great park! Walking paths, gazebo, lake with ducks/geese/swans and the the playground - its amazing with half a dozen different play areas! My kids could have been happy there all day. Signs were posted for NO SMOKING though I did see at least one person doing so. At least she was sitting at a picnic table and not right in the play structure. I left off a star because there is one bathroom all the way on the other side of the play area and when we were there I trekked all 3 kids over only to find it locked.

I've been here with the kids and they love the variety of playgrounds they have and if anyone has grown up in chilli it's awesome to have yah kids play where you did and makes friends. You can also go and feed the ducks but they be haters. Even though chilli rugged; this park is nice. A lot of shelter houses and picnic areas to have family time. You can also walk on the flood wall I would BE LEERY of the crack heads. They are suspicious BUT usually won't act upon the suspiciousness.

Absolutely the best small City Park, pond, birds, picnic shelters to rent, excellent for music, family, food events, birthdays, kids outdoor fun. Staff are friendly, helpful, professional and cleaning constantly. We were there for a tribal drum circle event & it was perfect all the way around, very relaxing environment- a good general environment for a broad array of events/gatherings. A great representation of the city.
