Sakura Japanese Cuisine — Restaurant in Chippewa Falls

I was told nothing but good things, plus the amazing reviews I read before going but.... I felt as it was bland and the only flavor I got was when I bit into the fried spider and got a mouth full of liquid (this was supposed to be fried crab) that tasted like dirty water. I got the spicy crab roll and there was no spicy aspect and didnt taste like anything. The pieces fell apart, like the roll wasn't tight enough. I also got the spider roll same thing, minus it wasn't supposed to be spicy. Very bland and only two pieces had the fried crab on (not in) them. The cheese pockets and gyozas were amazing. The restaurant itself was inviting and relaxing. Even the things we got, were beautiful looking. Service... we saw her three times. To take our order, give us our order and to give us the bill (which was decently priced). Maybe it was just an off day but I had such great stories and high hopes. But I'll definitely stay with Yamato. They are more expensive but...

the food is very good but took over an hour to come out. although the building is nice and well put together, the service is not good. at all, we got our drinks. and he took our food order, then sat for over an hour waiting for it. during none of that did he come to check on us, i wanted a soda refill but couldn’t grab anyone. after we got our food we sat for almost another hour(again without being checked on). then a lady came up asking if we needed a box and we said yes. before we could even ask for our dessert she walked away(about 10 minutes before anyone came back). finally we were able to get our ice cream and we were going to ask for the bill but he walked away. overall their costumer service is definitely something to work on. My husband and I recently ate at Sakura for the first time and we will definitely be going back! We had several different sushi rolls...all amazing!...Highly recommend the Godzilla roll and the spicy scallop roll. I got the steak and lobster hibachi. Beautiful presentation and fabulous taste. My husband got the unagi don and some hibachi scallops on the side. He said they were some of the best scallops he's ever had, and the Don was very meaty...no skimping here! The prices were in line with sushi/hibachi pricing so no surprises there...a fair $$ price point. Service here was excellent! We never had to wait for drink refills and the server was attentive without being overwhelming....Just a really great...
