10-20-24 Update: I forgot to mention earlier, while I was in Floyd, I had the opportunity to visit my grandson's school and noticed a wonderful initiative—the cookie project—that Red Rooster supports. It’s heartwarming to see local businesses like Red Rooster give back in meaningful ways. Then, on Saturday morning while picking up my packet for the Tour de Dirt cycling event, I was once again reminded of Red Rooster’s deep ties to the community. Their involvement in local events and support of local initiatives speaks volumes about their dedication to Floyd and the people who call it home.

Visited Red Rooster today, as I have many times prior. As always, the coffee is world-class and the baristas and staff professional, attentive and friendly.

Always fascinating that this small Blue Ridge Parkway town hosts an award-winning roastery and cafe. I am grateful to visit with a short 30 minute gorgeous winding drive up from the Stuart, VA area.

Upon leaving, I purchased two bags of coffee for my savored sunrise pour-over. With Red Rooster coffees in anticipation, I go to sleep already looking forward to the next lazy morning and the smells of some of the highest quality grown and roasted beans on the planet.

As a local I had always loved the coffee when I was going to school, and after I moved to Roanoke I really missed the way that the coffee tasted and I have to say coming back to Floyd and having such great coffee has brought back so many memories and also fits the atmosphere of this town so great, my bagel was perfectly baked the eggs were super fluffy and my espresso was way more of a full body experience than I remember. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a chill spot to relax in the mornings and to get one of the best cups of coffee this region has to offer. The staff are all positive and knowledgeable and the ecletic atmosphere just fills you with joy as much as the coffee fills you with warmth and flavor.
