Well we walked in to silence nobody spoke or welcomed us which was sad we were looking forward to that small town hospitality. Told them we were from out of town and came to see the historical soda fountain. No reaction what so ever. Highly disappointed. there was a gentleman killing flies with a swatter and continues the entire time we were here which wouldnt have been an issue except he wasnt cleaning them up just dead flies and fly guts all over the tables. After being kinda rudely seated we decided what we would order and got 4 shakes and 3 cheese burgers and it was medicore food at best nothing special. Went to pay and PAID 50 FREAKING DOLLARS. FOR 3 CHEESE BURGERS AND 4 SHAKES. The price honestly wouldnt have bothered me so much if it was an "experience" if we woukd have had some decent customer service and shown the soda fountain that we came there to see, because we stppped there to see the fountain and maybe hear some history about it or something. But instead ended up eating meh food for mind blowing prices. Apparently they charge you a little over a dollar for every topping. So $1 for lettuce $1 for tomatoe $1 for pickles and so on so our 6$ burger turned into 10$ to 12$ for something that was barley even worth the original 6$. Very dissapointed. If you are going here to see the soad fountain dont waste your time just google one because they arent going to show it to you anyway and save that 50$ for a restruant where the food is...
Read moreStopped by in this small town on our way to Yellowstone National Park. Been traveling with my family all the way from Florida and merged off the highway to get some gas. I was met at the gas station by two young girls who smiled shyly at me and said hello. After filling up on gas I decided to drive into town to check it out. I fell in love with it immediately. After living in big cities such as NYC, Los Angeles, Orlando, Denver, Colorado Springs, New Jersey, Brooklyn, you name it, I’ve gotten TIRED off all the people and bustle. And this tiny town with its quiet and peace really charmed me. The chilli place was closed so we went to the Soda Fountain. We were greeted by a lovely woman and a man who welcomed us to sit down. We were short on time though so we decided to instead grab some food to-go: Some chilli, two pieces of pie, and a vanilla strawberry shake.... WE WERE BLOWN AWAY. All of it was home-made and tasted fantastic. Absolutely worth the stop. My only regret is that some local girl in a (green? I think?) truck passed by and waved to me and I didn’t wave back in time. She looked so cute waving happily at us tourists and I couldn’t stop thinking about how I might have ruined her day by not waving back. Girl in the truck, I’m sorry :( I was the guy wearing full black with black shades. I would have waved if I wasn’t stuffing my face with that vanilla strawberry shake in the Soda Fountain parking lot. Please...
Read moreI visited her with my mom and sister while we are vacationing. It is in a small town on your way to Casper. The outside is colored a pretty green with dark accents around the windows. They have an old soda bar that has the stools with it that look awesome. They have antique knickknacks on display. My sister and I tried an old-fashioned soda each. They have typical flavors that everyone will love like root beer and cherry but they have some interesting flavors like lavender and orchid. My sister got the orchid and loved it. If you are not into flower flavors i would not recommend, but if you like to experiment with new and unique flavors I would definitely suggest trying the orchid. It was surprisingly pleasant. We wanted to try some of the food as well. My sister and mom got chili fries and chili nachos. I got the biscuits and gravy with cheese and onions on top. I have never had cheese and onions on my biscuits and gravy before and fell in love with it. The biscuits were soft and warm and the gravy was just delicious. The cheese and onions enhanced the flavor of the gravy. My mom couldn't stop talking about the chili and how much she loved it. My sister said it isn't spicy, but just right. I would definitely recommend stopping by here while on the road to or from Casper. It would be a nice day drive...
