If you are traveling between Cheyenne and Wheatland, stopping in here is a must. The food is sooooo good. The burger was super juicy and full of flavor, probably my favorite burger I've ever had. The deep fried mushrooms are perfectly cooked, not super watery like tends to happen. And the fries and tots are also super yummy. Next time we are in Wyoming we are definitely coming back here. So dang good.

This place is AMAZING! The saloon feel is really neat and worth the stop over. The food is great and we brought our dogs and ate outside on the patio. Great service, and the pie was yummy too. Also, yes, definitely try the chili! There’s a small museum across the street and we stopped at the soda store on our way out too. Though I thought the inside of the saloon felt more unique.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting Quebec 01 Missile Alert Facility. The Saloon was pretty quiet but that didn’t stop them providing excellent service and first class food. Great menu selections, freshly prepared delicious food. Highly recommended if you’re passing through. It was easy to find with plenty of welcoming signs on the drive through town.

I've been trying to get friends venturing through Wyoming to seek out this place. I was there in ????? 2000... We happened on it purely by accident on a road trip from Tampa to Seattle... having missed BOTH exits in Cheyenne at dinner time with the promise of Chugwater Chili up the road. As we pulled off the highway I joked that I was willing to bet they didn't have a McDonald's. Chugwater Chili was a tin sided trailer and closed. We drove up and down the 3X5 blocks of streets while my daughter whined and I said, we're here, let's check it out, how long could it possibly take????? And, bam, a STEAKHOUSE. Live music. THEY ASKED ME HOW THICK I WANTED MY STEAK... it was AMAZING. 10 STARS. The thing is that it looks like it changed hands, got cleaned up, remodeled and all of the cowboy and Indian artifacts are gone. WHAT HAPPENED?????? By pictures ALONE it easily lost 3/4 of it's charm and I'd be willing to bet that they no longer ask how thick you want your rib eye steak. Am...

Fantastic food, great service. We arrived about 20 minutes before closing on a Sunday afternoon. The receptionist/waitress checked and said grill was still open. We ordered, and she said once food arrived to take our time, because they had lots of things they needed to work on. I had "The Angry Heifer" burger with tats, and hubby had the special of the day, fish and chips. Chips were homemade potato chips, fish was very lightly battered and crispy. Both were delicious, and my burger was fantastic! Will definitely stop again when the opportunity comes when we pass...

The only good thing here is the decor and even then, there is a questionable mural. Our waitress was unfriendly and even mocked me for asking for a lemon with my water. A simple no would have sufficed. She proceeded to ask everyone at our table if they needed lime with their water. We were not amused. We were not there for it, but we did read that there is live entertainment. The getup looks nice. I imagine it is nice to be there during the show. The food itself is not worth the visit. The bread that comes with the sandwiches and hamburgers was cold and soggy. Two...
