I'm trying to find my favorite California Burrito down in Chula Vista so I don't have to drive more than 10-15 minutes for my craving ;) This one is my favorite so far! I tried Don Pedro's but it was so dry, maybe I should have asked for all the fixings? Anywho, by default this California Burrito comes with guac, sour cream, pico and of course fries and carne asada - winner! The tortilla itself is so good! It's like they made it fresh, that was the cherry on top. It hits the spot! We also got the carne asada burrito, which was standard and good, and a medium horchata. I love that this little shop is so small, sits maybe 16 people max if it were filled. It didn't look like there was a restroom, but there was a sink to wash your hands. Plenty of parking in a strip mall. Give them a shot!

Just like there are different Chinese styles so it is with Mexican cuisine cultures. Kotija style is just like my Abuelito who migrated from a small town near Michoacan. From Red Menudo con Patas Puerco, the Salsas, Tacos de Cabeza, Fish tacos, Rolled tacos de Papa, Chili Relleno burritos and more. Love the Tacos Tuesday specials 😋

Can we create a new saying? Instead of “The best perfumes come in small bottles.” Will be The Best food come in small spaces”! Voilà. Literally only 3 tables, but if you prefer you can also order to go. Food is delicious. So fresh. Ambience is casual and extremely clean. And of course good value for money.

This morning the cashier and I went over the menu thoroughly because there's the expectation that most burritos come with beans and rice. She explained the contents of each very nicely. I settled on 2 fajita burritos which have carne asada, onions and bell peppers. I added beans for an additional charge. She turned towards her food preparer's window and repeated the order to him. These burritos cost $29 and some change. YOU WOULD THINK SUCH A SIMPLE ORDER WOULD NOT POSE A CHALLENGE TO SOMEONE WHO MAKES MEXICAN FOOD ON A DAILY BASIS SIX DAYS A WEEK. BUT UPON INSPECTION THERE WAS NOT ONE BEAN IN EITHER BURRITO. THERE WAS A HALF POUND OF ONION IN EACH ALONGSIDE HALF A TEASPOON OF BELL PEPPER. UGH!! I was irate. Carne asada was decent. For all you food preparers out there L I S T E N.... write it down if you have to. Do your job, its not complicated. The young lady who took the order was the best. The kitchen guy...

The place is fairly small with no restrooms available for clients.

The food was for the most part, surprisingly good.

Carne asada chimichanga was delicious Chile Relleno with Cheese enchilada was delicious Steak fajitas was not the best refried Beans and flour tortillas were delicious rice was needed major improvement

The service was pretty dry. The sign that stated lack of condiments, didn't specify a reduction in menu prices.

I'd go back just for the redried...
