La India Bonita — Restaurant in Chula Vista

This has become my go to place for Mexican food. Service is friendly, even complex orders are correct, and the food is delicious. Their traditional guac tends to be a little on the limey side for my taste, but the American quac is a reasonable substitute if you can handle dairy. Salsa bar always has hot carrots, extra fresh chilis, hot and regular red salsa, roasted salsa, and salsa verse. Until I found la India Bonita, my favorite Mexican food places were, most favorite first: Colimas in Hillcrest, stars and stripes taco shop in Miramar, taco Fiesta in Mission gorge. Disclaimer: I don't vary my order much. If you're looking for any of the following, I can't recommend this place enough. This small little Mexican restaurant was a quick band-aid when you're hungry. However , I ordered caldo de res for my father, and my daughter ordered menudo rojo. Took caldo home, dad said it was bland, no flavor missing something, I tasted it and yeah, I couldn't put my finger on what it lacked. I will be honest it was okay. It wasn't the worst. The menudo on the other hand was red and i'm very picky about my menudo and where I get it normally I make it myself. I was not too pleased for the price. I will be honest. I felt it was tasting like the menudo from the can, However, I would possibly get it if I had a hangover or something because I don't want to cook so it's not like it was bad.
