Not from here and First time here. I really wanted Einstein but reading the reviews the closest was at some campus and closed on the weekends. So I ordered this online and went through drive thru (DT). Randomly stumbled upon this somehow, it literally magically popped up on my Google news or whatever. You don't want to compare companies but you kind of have no choice considering, the menu is damn near the same. I do think Einstein has a tad bit more on the menu, could be wrong. I enjoyed their cold brew carmel coffee. I know the comments are downing their coffee and maybe it's the hot coffee IDK. But I thought the cold brew was good. I know with Einstein, it is a bit stronger. The bagel was good, not terrible. Very similar to Einstein, same bagel and everything. Got the French toast bagel and their hash bite. Their hash bite is kind of different from Einstein's if you ask me but again, it wasn't terrible. I did pay for freshly squeezed OJ and waited in DT after I had my food and they almost forgot my drinks, had to remind them, just to be told "I'm not gonna lie, we don't have any made up" and was given the bottle of OJ. I honestly didn't care. The wait in drive thru can be long especially if you come at a busy time. I was 2 cars behind it was about 10 maybe 12 minutes. So if you're looking for quick service, it's best to order online and then walk inside, I would think. If I could, I would give it a 3.5 as everything was pretty average here. If I crave another sandwich, I...
Read moreI can't believe I've never reviewed Bruegger's Bagels before! I started coming here a decade ago when on my way to work near Lunken Airport to pick up a bagel and coffee. Recently I've been coming here a lot while undergoing my yoga teacher training at the nearby Embra Studio. The people working here are phenomenal. They are always smiling and are super friendly. I love going in, but the photo I included in this review is from the drive thru, where I had to go the day of the Flying Pig, since there were tons of people around and they were understaffed and locked the door. Si, who was working the drive thru, said he was so happy I came back after he saw me walk up and try the door. He asked for my name and mentioned how much they appreciate my business. The next time I came in this past Saturday, Si was there again and jokingly said they'd left the door open just for me. I love the people who work here so much!
I should mention that the bagels are always fresh, they have many varieties to choose from, and there are bagel sandwiches and an array of coffees and hot/cold teas to choose from. I only wish they'd consider adding a vegetarian/vegan-friendly sandwich to the menu. I'd spend double the money here if they did.
I appreciate this location and its employees so much. I'll support Bruegger's Bagels for years to come, especially if I start teaching...
Read moreAgreeing with Kirtus. Stopped in here to give it a try. Asked “how is the Sriracha honey sandwich” Nick, who very obviously wanted nothing to do with me, dryly retorted “good.” And then while I was reading the menu he just decided thats what I was having and when I decided upon something else I looked and he was already far along into the process. Wanting to be accommodating, I just decided to go along with it. I asked if I could sub the sriracha cream cheese for another and again nick replied dryly “yeah.” After an awkward pause I asked nick what other kinds they had because believe it or not I’ve never been here before. Nick didn’t even reply with one word this time, instead he just pointed to the menu. Okaaaaayyy. I told him which one I wanted. No reply. Just continued making it. Then a coworker came out of the back and nick sprang to live and began jovially talking to her and continued to ignore me. Nick continued his conversation with this women and had yet another employee ring me out while acting like I wasn’t there and couldn’t hear him.
The whole thing was super weird. I was the only one in there. I wouldn’t come back.
The saddest part is the bagel Sammie was amazingly delicious and such a deal at ~$4.
Only come if you can handle the socially inept workers and their attitudes. Sorry you had to go to work today like...
