I am so thankful that I found Benefit Salon, and more importantly, Shelby from Benefit!

My hair has been on a crazy journey and I have been seeing Shelby for a little over a year. When I tell you she rescued my hair, I am not exaggerating. I started seeing Shelby after I went to a different salon that hires recent graduates to style and fix your hair. My normal stylist had to cancel her appointment, so I made a last minute appointment at the salon with newer grads so that I could still get my services done for an event. I ended up with bright red hair, money pieces I did not want and I was devastated as I only got the appointment because I had an event. After my event, I made another appointment with this new grad and in her attempt to "fix" my hair, ended up making half of my head grey and black. How? I have no idea - but just in case you don't believe me I have attached pictures.

I was incredibly upset and it was my mother who sent me Shelby's contact info. I didn't even call the salon to get scheduled, I sent Shelby pictures and she was so nice about getting me scheduled to see her as soon as I could. Once I was in her chair, she noticed I had a lot of issues from the previous stylist (new grad salon) and I had random blocks of color all over my head. Because my appointments were so close together, she had to be careful because she didn't want to fry my hair. But after one appointment - it already looked SO much better!

Since that day - I give Shelby full reign to do what she thinks would look best with my hair. I have so much fun experimenting with highlights, lowlights, and even got some fun rose gold in my hair just because I felt like it! I mentioned that I wanted longer hair and we discussed extensions - and they were AWESOME! I love how she styles my hair and I genuinely look forward to seeing her and everyone at Benefit every 4-5 weeks.

I'm a guy. A guy who looks like biker trash most days I'm not in a suit for work. I've always felt weird getting my hair cut in a Salon as I'm usually the only guy in there and at the same time I vowed to NEVER step foot in a Barber Shop again since the late 90s. I've bounced between stylists in my younger days looking for that right person who 'gets me' until I found Angeline.

Angeline is my stylist at Benefit Salon and she 'gets me'. Not only does she offer suggestions when I'm thinking a new direction with my hair, but she does her homework outside of the salon to see what styles are out there in the world that would work well with my look and grooming habits. I've never experienced this kind of care and attention to detail with anyone else which is why I am a fiercely loyal client of hers. Not only does Angeline work with my hair but also my beard. My beard, even more than my hair, is what defines me in a way. It's that trusted friend, that secret lover, that sacred part of me which I hold dearest of all. And I let Angeline cut it. If you're a Beardsman like I am, you have to have a lot of trust to let someone get that close to your mane.

Simply put, Angeline is the best, hands down, end of argument.

When Angeline decided to move her chair to Benefit Salon I had no worries. No worries I'd feel awkward, or out of place or just weird. The staff at Benefit Salon are all great people and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It's kinda like you belong there to begin with. The whole place just has a great positive vibe to it - I just can't explain.

So take it from me, Grizzly Adams, a 30-something Beardsman and introvert, treat yourself to a haircut and mini facial (dude, it's awesome, get over yourself and try it!). And IF you're lucky enough to be able to see Angeline, do it. Let her know The Dude sent you. You won't be...

Had high expectations due to reading reviews scheduled a hair appointment when I arrived I was notified that because I was 7 minutes late my stylist would not be able to do my full service I requested my roots to be bleached and all over foil and a toner also specified over the phone I was looking for someone who was a blonde specialist they made me wait 10 minutes before I even sat down which is an oxymoron being that they just told me that they couldn't do my full service because I was late however they made me wait then after getting in the chair I showed my stylist picture was very clear on how I wanted it to look 3 hours later $160 gone I left exactly the way I came in I looked no different they scheduled appointments too closely together they don't listen to clients they don't do what was requested and then expect you to pay for services I told them money was no issue when it came to getting done what I wanted was he even willing to tip the stylist $100 because of my time constraint I had gone out of my way to make sure that I had a babysitter I am limited on time highly disappointed in my experience lost future potential of clients I would have brought my daughter back my sister my friend and my mother and kept coming back myself however they did not meet any expectations very disappointed first hair salon in my life I've ever walked out and been that disappointed the reason I came was because my normal hair salon had been booked if you'd like to get absolutely nothing of what you asked for and still have to pay for it this would...
