So decided to go to this place because I have been craving Jamaican food, let's proceed.
Venue: I'm not going to lie when I pulled up the parking lot was being worked on and the venue kind of looked suspect. However, When you go inside there's a left section a right section, and about four tables where you can sit and dine in (two tables on each side). Then you walk up to a glass where you put in your order. The inside was clean. The only thing was their door every time it closed kept making a loud banging noise so it was alarming until you got used to it. We decided to dine in and I'm glad we did. Would I come here on a date, naaa. But would I come here with the family and some friends for sure (which I did). Aye they had some good music playing in there too!!!! Parttyyyyy.
Service: First of all you know there's that stereotype that if you go to a Jamaican restaurant and the service is bad the food is going to be amazing? ROFL. Honestly, I was scared because the guy who greeted us, Jason, was super nice. So in my head, I'm thinking oh man this food is about to be horrible lol. Jason is one of those people with an energetic, charismatic personality and he spoke with such kindness and happiness. I was thinking to myself whatever he's on I'm trying to get on it as well l, to be as happy as he is. Throughout the whole meal, he checked on us, made sure we were good and asked for our opinions. There was also another lady who came out and greeted us as well as very nice people. Amazing service!!!!!! Once again amazing service! Shout out to Jason!
Food: like I said after the great service we received I wasn't feeling too hopeful about the food being good rofl. However, let me state this, I'm actually upset that I went into this establishment because now I have to figure out how I am going to budget for coming here so often. The food was unbelievably delicious!!!!! Danggggggg. (Punches air) l wish the food was nasty so I could not go back but it's nootttt. I'm about to go broke coming here every day almost ugh. They should start a loyalty program 😜rofl. I got the Oxtail, on everything, this was so fresh and hot. Some of the best oxtail I've eaten. I've noticed a lot of Jamaican restaurants making their oxtails overly sweet but this was perfect. Like the gravy was really really good. The only thing I should have done was ask for more gravy which Jason told me I could have done after the food was gone lol. I know for next time. The rice was good. Let me say this, I don't even like cabbage but the way I smashedddddd. I legit inhaled all the food. My friend got the chicken curry. That chicken curry was seasoned just right not too salty not under season but perfect for dipping my beef patty in. My sister got the jerk chicken and when I say it tasted like they were killing the chicken and smoking it out in the back babbbyyyy!!!!! Whew, lord the way I'm trying not to go there while writing this ugh. I also ordered the festivals...... Just buy two orders trust me. Listen I could go on and on about the food let me just do the cons because it's easier. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the plantains I feel like they were overly cooked I like mine's little bit firmer but to each their own they were still not bad. And the drink I got the Sorel was good but it was overly sweet. However, once I started eating the sweetness definitely went right along with the savoryness of the food.
Price: for the oxtail, jerk chicken, two orders of festivals, two drinks I paid around $46. Not bad at all because the way I was eating all I could think about was my bills about to be $100 and it wasn't so I was happy. Pricing isn't bad. Yall know oxtail expensive! Lol
Summary of you can't read all that lol.
Do I recommend this place I sure the heck do! One of the best Jamaican restaurants in Cincinnati, I would say. I'm trying get a part time job here so I can eat for the freeeeeee. Hahaha. 10 outta 10 would...

Read moreThe food is absolutely worth it!!! I called in an order to pickup and was told it would be ready at 5:25.. this was a huge understatement. I didn't leave until 6:15.. I am not even dropping a star for this because the experience and food were so enjoyable. I love the patrons here. Nothing like cuttin up with some good people while you wait. I lived in Florida and there was a spot you could pull up to this family's kitchen window of their home. Now this was hands down the best jerk chicken I had ever had. Fast forward 15 years and I have been on the hunt for authentic Jamaican food. I have craved it ever since I left. And I have found it!!! The jerk chicken and rice were so flavorful, fresh off the grill, a generous portion! The cabbage was perfectly cooked and so flavorful! The crisp on the chicken skin was so good! The chicken was incredibly tender. Damn. It was so fire!!! I will say, the wait is a bummer.. but this is a family owned and operated business. They don't have a huge staff. Next time I'll just give them some additional time, but we definitely will order again and again. If you know that going in it might relieve some frustration.. The gentleman who helped when I got there was so kind and welcoming. I truly wish them so much continued business and success!!! Thank you for satisfying my craving for authentic Jamaican food!!!!...
