Downtown Circleville Business Trick-or-Treat 🎃 👻 Thank you to our community who constantly shows us support at @elpedregal_circleville we love doing things that always give back and we really enjoyed seeing so many of the kiddos costumes and joy as they came by for treats and after a full house at the restaurant. We appreciate your love and support. Happy Halloween! We hope you enjoyed my walking taco costume and Carlos put that mustache to work as a mariachi singer 🥸🌮 #halloween #costume #kids #trickortreat

Wow wow wow! TBH I walked in not expecting much boy was I ever wrong. This restaurant is a hidden gem for Circleville and something you’d expect to see in Columbus, Cinci, Dayton, etc.. not Circleville. The decor is like a beautiful upscale Mexican Ranch, the service super fast, the wait staff polite, and the food was amazing all the way through. I loved the salsa that came with the complimentary chips. I couldn’t get enough and wish I could buy it by the bottle. The menu offered a very nice selection and everything was adequately priced. I liked how you could order it by the number instead of trying to pronounce some of the words as I admit my Spanish isn’t the best. I found myself intrigued by numerous items on the menu and liked how well the menu explained everything. For my dinner I ordered the Texas Dip for myself as an appetizer and it blew me away. Love at first bite so much so that I made everyone at our table try it!! Then our dinners came the portion sizes were HUGE. I ordered the Steak Fundido with Mashed Potatoes and was again left impressed with the taste and quality of the food. I ended my visit stuffed and already looking forward to my next stop in.

Came in and led to a table by a young woman. Menus and flatware left on the table as she kept walking not saying another word to us. Our server was great, checking on us regularly and with a smile. I had the Esteban Pollo bowl. Hubby had the Super Burrito with chicken. We were confused why there was peas, carrots and corn in the rice? Took away from the dishes. Hubby's topping was from a bag salad (yes, including red cabbage), not so good. He said dish did not have a lot of flavor. Mine was tasty, brought to mind a chicken philly with some heat in a bowl. I ordered also the classic margarita on the rocks. Great alcohol content but a slight bitter aftertaste like it was made from a mix. Salsa and tortillas were served prior to the meal and pleased there was cilantro. Overall, an okay meal. Also, the rowdiness from the cantina was distracting, could've done without that.

So, I took my daughter to what I thought would be a nice dinner here, I ordered fries and she ordered a shrimp burrito because we are presbyterian and don’t eat chicken, beef or pork! They brought out a burrito with old rubbery fishy shrimp. I told the server and the manager came out and she proceeded to tell me that the shrimp were like that because they were “tiger shrimp”… Now I’m 43 years old and my dad is an executive chef not to mention that I have been only eating seafood for years and I know old shrimp when I see smell and taste them! So she suggested that we ordered something from the vegetarian section of the menu, so my daughter ordered a vegetarian burrito and when it comes out it looks good so she proceeded to eat it only to find chicken in her burrito!! When the manager comes out a second time she begins to say that it must’ve slid in there off the grill. No apologies or nothing but said we will just charge you for the other stuff. Now where is the Customer Service? You would charge me $6 dollars for fries and chips that were supposed to be complementary after you first served us OLD RUBBERY FISHY SHRIMP Then You Serve A Customer CHICKEN IN WHAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A VEGETARIAN BURRITO!!!! This is crazy and disgusting! I will never go here ever again and I will tell everyone I know to never go here! If you just have to have Mexican food try the restaurant on 23! When a restaurant doesn’t respect the fact that you don’t eat meat don’t give them your money but for her to charge me for chips or anything for that matter after making a mistake like that is absolutely ridiculous!!!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING 🤮 THE one thing I can say was the young lady that was our server was nice. If I could give No stars I would! Management has no concept of good...

So I was recently there during the Circleville, pumpkins show this past weekend, my wife and I decided to try their pumpkin margaritas that was advertised Well, there was definitely a Margarita, but did not taste like a pumpkin. So there was some false advertisement there. Then, when we brought up our dislike for the drink, to the head waiter or waitress on staff (which she probably lied about being the manager when we asked to speak one) said no. "No refunds" as we proceeded to tell her we don't like this. And we don't want it. Her Response was "well, you took it and you left" we didn't leave anywhere. We were standing at the front of the restaurant Now, to restaurant's credit, they had a lot of people.Of course, there because of the show, but since there was nowhere to sit, we stayed up by the front by the entrance, where she clearly couldn't see, because the bar was tucked off back in the corner I'm the back of the restaurant

I will be taking this matter up with my bank. And I would not recommend this location to anyone if you want something to eat. Go literally right across the street and go to the Black Diamond, formerly...
