Biryani and Beyond-Greenback Lane, In Fair Oaks A Hidden Gem for Indian Food! 🇮🇳
We visited this incredible restaurant on June 7, 2025, and I can't stop raving about it! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The vibe here is inviting, making it the perfect spot for a family dinner or a romantic date night.
The atmosphere is OK - neat, clean, and well-organized, with beautiful lighting that sets the right mood. Plus, there’s a fun photo wall for those Insta-worthy snapshots.
The menu is extensive, featuring an array of Indian, Pakistani, and Middle Eastern dishes. We indulged in Chicken Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Cheese Paratha - delicious, though I must admit the portions were on the smaller side! The food is flavorful and spicy, just how we love it.
Only downside? Watch out for your food Beware that some of our food has paper mix on buttered chicken. 🥲Also, we wished the water were chilled, but with high chairs and boosters readily available, it was perfect for our family outing.
Overall, I’d rate Biryani and Beyond a solid 4.5/5: 🌟 Food: 4.5/5 🌟 Service: 5/5 🌟 Ambiance: 4.5/5
Can’t wait to go back and explore more of their menu. Recommend checking...
Read moreSave yourself the hassle. DO NOT GO HERE!! They have 0 customer service. The girl and guy at the front are always on their phone. After being seated and taking the order she never came back to check on us. The guy at the front is very rude as well. His tone is very rude. I order chicken tikka and the food did not taste close to the original chicken tikkia. The owners brother came and explained that they from Pakistan and they make it their way. He offered to remake it but I declined. They charged us full price for everything. In the end he came to give me a free plate of biryani on the house for the horrible food experience. When he came back with biryani he acted like as if I’m being a hassle but in reality I never asked for him to give me free food. The person who dealt with me claims to be the owners brother. They need to learn the basic customer service etiquette. Bunch of family people running this place and the staff needs training. I had high hopes. Very disappointed. Never coming back. I do not recommend. Do not fall for the reviews. They’re giving people free food to write...
Read moreI was a little skeptical in the beginning given the fact that most Indian / Pakistani restaurants don't seem to make authentic style biriyani- in a lot of cases they would mix some chicken/ goat curry with rice (sometimes parboiled / sella basmati) and maybe a bunch of herbs / powdered spices / aromatics and then put on low heat for 15 minutes and needless to say, that's not biriyani. Regardless, looking at the reviews I decided to give it a try and ordered Chicken Dum Biriyani (Hyderabadi style) and I must say it's one of the best Hyderabadi style biriyanis I had in the Sacramento area. The rice had been infused with saffron (most places would use artificial food color) and the proportions of spices along with the aromatics / herbs created the perfect flavor of a classic biriyani, without making it too spicy. Would definitely...
