Once is enough for me. Went with a friend for Saturday morning breakfast. Both ordered 2 OE w/meat/potatoes/toast. One of my eggs must have broken when cracked and was a hard yellow smudge. His was just overcooked, nearly over hard. I brought the broken yolk issue to my servers attention and she just shrugged and said "they must have got your order mixed up with another" and walked away. Nice!.. Both meals were lukewarm. I like grain bread but the toast here is about 1" thick, barely toasted and very heavy. The restaurant has the acoustics of an empty UPS truck and apparently this is the place to bring kids on weekends. My ears were ringing and conversation was difficult over the roar of the kids yelling screaming and crying. The waitress brought the check and I told her she should tell the cooks that they should never server a broken yolk, especially when people are paying $10 for a couple and she said " I can have them cook you another if you want". It seemed like she was going to have to pay for it. In the end, she did.
I guess folks are hard up for places to eat breakfast around here. I'm not a fan of big corporate places but I-hop and Perkins have this place beat hands down in service, facility and food.
In conclusion, this place is the place for you if you are a 30 something white chick with 3 kids, a husband with a hipster beard, use the word "yummy" when describing anything edible, buys into the eco friendly, sustainable, farm fresh hype and have money to burn on below average service and food just to be seen in a place where your kind seem to congregate. For me, I don't care if a restaurant buys eggs from a supplier that beats it's chickens, uses 50 gallons of water for every glass served and shovels trash into the ally behind the place. As long as the food tastes good, is cooked and served properly and the place is clean, relatively quiet and no more than kid tolerant, I'll go...
Read moreLet’s start here I love first watch. I have been going to first watch for a couple years now and Never had this experience before. But today wasn’t the day. The manager was very rude and Racist to me and my friend. It was her birthday today They didn’t let her use her birthday coupon and my friend asked the waiter can she look up my friend’s phone number because her coupon wasn’t showing In her email, she said she could look into it. And she didn’t even look it up That was totally confusion we asked for the manager he was no help and he was talking over us he didn’t have no concern he completely shut us down didn’t even try to understand where we was coming from he doesn’t care about his customers. The waiter seems like she didn’t know what was going on. I think she was a new I told her I want a honey crunch iced coffee. She put it in a small cup and my friend had an orange juice she put her drink also in small. Everybody else in restaurant had a large cup then when I confronted them about the size of our cup they got an attitude I told them I wanted light ice they put everything in separate cups They put my coffee in the separate cup. The ice was in the separate cup. And my whipped cream and honey crunch Was separate. they told me that’s the only way they can put my drink with light ice is to separate it all pretty much I had to make my own drink when I ask for a drink they supposed to make it. that didn’t make any sense to me I sent it back to get make it over and it was terrible. They seated us in the back of the restaurant by the bathroom. I asked to be moved because who wants to sit by the bathroom And also, the chairs were soaking wet with water. They had a problem with because I wanted to move. I won’t be returning to this location I don’t recommend this location to anyone...
Read moreI have been to this location several times in the past and generally had decent experiences, but my visit on Saturday, June 22 was very disappointing.
Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and greeted by Michael, our server. Initially, he took our order efficiently. However, from that point on, the service deteriorated. Michael never returned to check on us or ask if we needed refills. We had to flag him down if we needed something.
Throughout our meal, the table accumulated empty plates and used utensils, none of which were cleared away despite several glances in our direction from Michael. It became increasingly awkward as he seemed oblivious to our needs. Then, while we were still eating, he placed the check on the table between our cups without a word and walked away. This was incredibly awkward and unexpected, especially since he had not asked if we wanted anything else or if we were ready for the check.
Adding to the discomfort, one of the servers, whom I unfortunately did not catch the name of, had a noticeable body odor, specifically under her arms. The smell was quite strong and lingered in the air when she walked by our table. While I understand that everyone can have an off day, I believe maintaining good hygiene, especially in a service industry where interaction with guests is constant, is crucial.
This was the first time in my life that I opted not to leave a tip. The combination of poor service from Michael and the uncomfortable experience with the body odor left a lasting negative impression on what could have been an enjoyable...
