A fantastic NYC experience. I've said before that Riverside Pizza is the best pizza in Amsterdam, but I'm amending that statement to be "the best thick/deep pizza in Amsterdam". Because Joe's takes the prize for best NYC style. Ordered over the phone, going with their regular 18" round, they only offer one size after all. Added onions, green peppers, mushrooms, bacon, and ricotta cheese as toppings. A little pricy at $3 a topping, but, if you're just getting the pizza any nothing else it's fine. Total only came to $27, which I feel was lower than it should have been thinking about it driving home, but the guy at the counter checked the order over so it must be right. (that, or I got a 'welcome to the family' treatment) Back home I found the appearance to be pretty appealing, a lovely bunch of bubbling along the crust. I tore off a slice to get a nice warm bite before I ran around taking care of other things, and it was everything I wanted. The slice was thin, a little floppy, but had a superior fold like a good NYC pizza should. The cheese held like a champ and the sauce remained where it should, and all my toppings were spread out enough that each bite felt unique with flavor and texture. And the crust was crispy, but not shatteringly, so my mouth did not get turned into a blender. tl;dr It was darn good. Overall, excellent NYC style pizza, good price, and delicious flavor.

After a long drive, a good pizza place is exactly what can heal the soul. This small shop had the most comfy and welcoming atmosphere that I believe I've ever come across. And being from Oklahoma that says a lot! The quality of the pizza was outstanding, the sauce had so much flavor and the toppings were perfectly proportioned. You could really tell that this is a family recipe. Hot pizza right out of the oven, wow, doesn't get any better than that! Thank y'all for a wonderful experience <3

Decided to give Joe's a try, especially seeing the reviews and their pictures. Got the 18" pie, onions and meatball. Gotta say, upon opening, it was lacking on toppings, some slices didn't even have onion on it... But worst of all, it was grossly undercooked as under the cheese was a liquidy, slimy mess. I have a pregnant wife and 2 year old and had to cook a few slices in the toaster oven, the rest I threw in the trash. Never ordering here again.

Ive had the pizza, and its very good although I do find the crust to be on the tough side.. So I wanted to try something different and decided to get the penne vodka with meatballs. Great flavor but way too much pasta for the two very small meatballs you get. I would not get it again unless they start making their meatballs larger or instead give you three of the small ones they have now. There's just not enough balance between the ton of pasta and the two small meatballs. I was a little disappointed, but I now know not to try the spaghetti because I'm sure it would be the same story. I guess I will just stick to pizza

Update - I guess I won't even stick to their Pizza anymore. I ordered a pizza at 7:00 tonight. I was told I could pick it up in 40 minutes. I was 5 minutes early. I went in and told them I was here for a pizza - they looked at me and said... Are you sure you didn't order from Domino's? I was like... What?? I said no, I ordered a large extra cheese half red pepper and half meatball from HERE. So the one brother says - oh that's my fault, I forgot to put the order in, I remember her calling. The other brother looks at me and says - the problem is that we ran out of sauce 🤔. Bottom line, they were b* me and making excuses every way to Sunday. So anyway, I'm currently sitting here while they make my pizza. As a plus, they come out and tell me they don't have any meatball so I guess I'm settling for onion smh. I'm sitting here scratching my head wondering why they couldn't tell me at 7:00 when I called that they had run out of sauce as well as meatballs. Anyway, I'm getting my pizza going home and eating it because I do like their pizza but I will never come here again. There are way too many pizza places in this city to put up with...

I heard their pizza is supposed to be good so I ordered on line for pick up. I was told 1 hr. No biggie ordered a full thin crust broccoli and cheese with garlic sauce and an order of spicy wings. So I got their in an hour. Waited in line for 10 min. Watched as the 2 boys in back look at 5 orders hanging discussing them the whole time , phone was ringing had told gentleman don't answer to many orders to start. Hmmm not good business but it gets better. After they stared at the orders one of the boys came up to me asked how they could help. I replied picking order up. He looks at me and grabs some dough and says gonna make your pizza now. Lmao I looked at him and said forget it. Went up the road and got chinese food in 10 minute. Not even a hold on we will discount u or a free pie for the inconvenience. We're foodies and we rate our experiences every where we go. Wont ever go back or even try. Bad business ,rotten service , small menu. Go to Russos or Boscos for good...
