Had breakfast here with my Pop and Son on a Saturday morning in early June. Very busy. Had about a 20 minute wait outside. Wished they could've served us outside on their patio tables. Great vibe, good ambience both outside and in. Not sure why they have such nice outside seating but don't use it. Regardless, it was worth the wait I suppose. The food was fantastic. Bring your appetite, no jokes on their portion sizes. Quirky service though. I had ordered an orange juice and was brought a cup about a 1/4 full of juice. The gal that brought it said they were out and needed to run down cellar to bring up more. She stopped by the table several times asking if we needed refills but seem to miss the orange juice everytime. A testament to how busy they were was my guess. Another server happened along a bit later and rectified the situation. They did not charge me for that OJ by the way. It gave us something to jokingly chide about at our table other than ourselves. Everyone enjoyed their food. My Son had the Montecristo and loved it. To my surprise really. . .as he has never liked anything to do with eggs. Considering the whole sandwich is dipped in eggs I found that quite revealing as to how good it must've been. My Pop had the Western Omelette and was more than content with his. He found the orange juice situation very entertaining. So he got a good breakfast and a show. I had the Sausage Gravy & Biscuits with a couple of Sunnyside up eggs. HOLY SMOKES!! Did I mention the portions. I was very satisfied with my choice. It was delicious and I had leftovers for dinner that evening. It was perfect. I definitely recommend coming here if you are in the Auburn area around breakfast time. Don't be afraid to speak up if you need...
Read moreI don’t typically like to leave negative reviews. But being in the food business and being mistreated I had to speak up. I came to the diner on Sunday with my family and some friends.. We were a party of 15 people. So, my sister ordered a cheese and mushroom omelette. The mushrooms were spoiled, and we asked the waitress to take the item back.. And upon receiving the check at the end of breakfast we noticed the omelette was still on the bill. We politely asked the waitress if she can remove it from the bill since we did not eat the omelette.. She proceeded to tell us that the manager or the owner would not remove it from the bill. As an owner of four eateries I completely disagree with the owners decision to make us pay for an omelette. It’s not about the money it’s about the principle and it’s about the fact that someone can get severely sick by eating bad mushrooms. Moving forward I believe Management at this diner should reconsider the way they treat situation’s. Sometimes it makes sense to lose a few dollars but to gain the loyalty and trust of a customer. Just some food...
Read moreI'm excited to share my experience at the Auburn Diner. This place is an old-school destination that's been serving up familiar American grub for years, and let me tell you, it does not disappoint!
One of the highlights of my visit was definitely the all-day breakfast menu. If you're a breakfast lover like me, you'll be in heaven here. I opted for the Big American Breakfast, and let me just say, it lived up to its name. The plate was piled high with fluffy pancakes, ham, crispy bacon, savory sausage links and home fries. And let's not forget about the buttery toast that was the perfect vehicle for soaking up all that delicious yolk from the poached eggs. Yum!
But what really sets this place apart is the cozy setup. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was transported back in time to a simpler era. This is a local favorite, packed with people. The nostalgic vibe and the friendly staff make you feel right at home.
Auburn Diner is perfect for anyone looking for a hearty, delicious breakfast in a charming setting. You won't be...
