Izzy's Dockside Diner & Pub — Restaurant in City of Berlin

So my mom and sister went here on mothers day and it was absolutely terrible. They had one server on and 3 busses which one of them took our drink order he brought the coffee and water and my mom and I never got our bloody Mary's. When I asked about them to our waitress she had no idea what i was talking about and had an attitude about it. My mom no longer wanted one and told her but they still brought 2 and were upset when we repeated we told them only 1 remember. The deep fried pickles came out with our meal bot ahead of time nowback to the bloody....it was disgusting!!! So much celery salt that is all I could taste. The veggies on the bloody were also inedible. Old that is all i can say. So when the food finally came out it looked ok besides my moms Reuben. I ordered the izzy burger medium rare and the meat itself had no seasoning not even salt or pepper. Also so much grease it had a pool next to the burger that they didn't even bother to wipe away. My moms Reuben had barely any meat and was just sad looking. My sister was satisfied but she ordered her burger med rare and it came out med. Well. I have worked in the food industry for over 13 years and this was literally the worst not only service but also the food was not good. Also the bottom of the deep fried pickles had a ton of grease in the bottom on the wax paper. Gross. They still charged us for the undrank bloody and really 1 server on mothers day? What a joke. Never ever again.... first time is most important and not even apologizing for the bloody Mary coming out 30 minutes after ordered. Hope you get it together izzy's we only live 3 blocks away and we would have been frequenting if you could have pulled out some better food drinks and a smiling waitress instead of a mean looking one who...

Well today I went to this restaurant for the first time with a client of mine and I can't believe how poor the service was. We sat down, a gal came to get our drink order and that was fine, when she brought the drinks she told us our waitress would be with us shortly. We looked at the menu, waited. Saw a couple come in, get seated and we were really trying to figure out what we wanted but had questions about a couple things on the menu. So again still waiting, then we see the waitress go and wait on the ppl that sat down after us. I'm like wow, she didn't even have the decency to come ask if we were ready yet. Just completely ignore us, skip over to the next table and by the time she did get to us, I'm like we can take the check for the drinks, and we won't be eating bc we have been sitting here waiting and you completely ignored us, skipped over us, took their order. She's like, " it looked like you were still deciding". "Yea, and we won't be deciding bc we have questions about some things on your menu". She's like I can answer your questions, I'm like nope, too late for that now. Acknowledgement of mistakes really goes a long way, but most ppl are not even humble enough or considerate enough to apologize. That's what really gets me, instead of trying to come up with excuses it would save everyone a lot of time and energy to just own it. I have served for years, so checking with a customer is kinda major, like if one isn't ready, great go on the next one but to overlook a table is like basic common sense, and it's inconsiderate and rude. The other thought is where is this lady's boss? Is the management bad as well, since they aren't very vigilant about their customers and waitstaff??...

Izzys serves top of the line food. But has bottom shelf customer service. I went in there today with my sister and her kids. One had puked the moment we walked in, but she had seemed to feel better minutes later. We sat down ordered food and waited patiently. Then my neice felt the urge to puke again. (Be aware She had no fever and no symptoms earlier through the day to show she was sick, other than the moment she puked.) Then the head waitress Katie walks over nicely, but is telling us we cant sit and eat because of my sick neice, but we could take our food. We said we were just going to leave. Because if we wanted fast-food takeout we wouldve went to McDonald's. But she instead kept saying we take our food in boxes and pay. She continued to demand. And kept saying she will have the chief to come in to sort it all out. Also threatningg me, saying "she knows who i am" and I can take it up with the chief myself so I can take care of it. So my sister decided to takw things into her own hands and call the BPD and they said we could go with no problems because we hadnt touched any of the food. Which was correct. We even have a video of the untouched food. Then we left peacefully. As we got the kids in the car... Katie stood by the door waiting for us to drive off. And as we did she took down our license plate number to call in. The police officers already gave us the okay to leave without paying but she continually kept harassing. Tips, don't go there with kids because if they're all of a sudden sick theyll kick you out, and expect you to STILL pay for your UNTOUCHED...NOT EVEN FULLY BROUGHT OUT.. food to eat at home...
