Verbose review? Sure, I can! Christy's is a place (when I used to travel) that I would ALWAYS look for, without arches, royalty hamburg's, or lobsters twenty feet in the air, without bullshirt, but WITH good food, and "a-damned-decent,-hard-to-find-attitude,-providing-jus'-what-cha-come-fer" in a REAL LOCAL RESTAURANT, instead of a hollywood "mel's place" sit-com! I've found more than a few in various towns, usually surrounded by Tractor-Trailers to announce "Here's The Place To EAT" (30 years ago) but now we got "the-current-down-home-Aunt-Bee-for-hire" ANGIE's LIST, my-dog-dug-up-the-ground-wasp-nest"-YELP, and the supreme "I hates 'em, but I just cain't escapes 'em" GOGGLE" (you got here, didn't ya?, and I posted this peripatetic review, didn't I?). I'm trying to inform you that "CHRISTY'S IS a real GOOD LOCAL place to EAT (didja get the special? It's...
Read moreThis was the second time visiting. The experience was much like the first. I attempted to order a Diet Coke, she said they didn't have it. Didn't mention that they had Diet Pepsi. Just simply said, "We don't carry that". Then I attempted to order a Philly Cheese Steak. "We're out". Then I attempted to order a grilled chicken sandwich. The server came back 10 or so minutes later to inform me that they didn't have any currently marinated. Which raises a two questions. Why did it take that long to find that out. And two, why would a grilled or BREADED chicken breast have to be marinated? Also worth a mention. The food took 40-45 minutes. There were two tables sat after us, that left before we even got our meals. The table was also EXTREMELY sticky. I gave them two stars because after the fight for the food was over, the food was very...

Guess I'll be waiting the next time there. Sherry our hostess and server was excellent. She was a one-woman show and in times like these where no one wants to work she was a rarety. The breakfast was delivered still hot and in short order after being placed. The western omlette had roasted red peppers, not the thrown in crunchie green ones. The waffle was light, airy & crispy, just how it's liked. The diner was clean and had been updated since vacant from the Nikos era. I like to eat breakfast about 9 to 10 AM, so if you're going please be considerate and get in and out...
